Saturday, October 27
  Bayson Chapel M.B. Church is hosting a Leadership Devel-opment Workshop Saturday, October 27, from 9  to noon.
  “Being a leader requires a lot more than just knowing how to tell other people what to do. Leadership demands an abundance of personal qualities and skills, including self-awareness, empathy, charisma, confidence, determination, time management, and clarity of purpose,” stated Rev. Amos Sims, pastor.
  “All area churches are encouraged to have their leaders attend this insightful workshop. Whether they are pastors, ministers, deacons, trustees, Sunday School Superintendents, or teachers, each will greatly benefit from this leadership development session,” continued Bro. Sims.
  Pastor Melvin Montgomery of Faith and Grace M.B. Church in Grenada will be the instructor.

    Sanders Chapel M.B. Church’s choir invites everyone to their “choir night” Saturday, October, 27, beginning at 6 p.m. The choir is inviting all choirs to come and help lift up the name of Jesus through song.

    Sanders Chapel M.B. Church ministries will have a morning of lecturers speaking on pastors, ministers, deacons, and laymen, Saturday, October 27, from 9 a.m.-noon. Breakfast will be served.
    “Come and enjoy the physical and spiritual food,” invites Rev. Mitchell Steen, pastor.
Sunday, October 28
  Gatewood Church of God will have their Pastor Apprecia-tion Sunday, October 28, in honor of Rev. Fred Moorman now in his 14th year as pastor. The service starts at 11 a.m. and there will be a guest speaker. A potluck lunch will immediately follow in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited. The church is located on CR 211.

    Pleasant Grove Church will have their Musicians’ Apprecia-tion, honoring Minister of Music Gregory Henderson and Kendric Sally, Sunday, October 28, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Larry J. Hervey and the entire Pleasant Grove Church family invite everyone to come and offer praise to the Lord and to bless their musicians.

    Woodland Hills Baptist Church will have high attendance day Sunday, October 28. This event will begin with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. To be eligible for door prizes, which will be given at intervals during the afternoon, you must register during the Sunday School hour.
  Following Sunday School, the worship service begins at 10:30. Bringing the message will be Dr. Morris Baker, BSU Director at the University of Mississippi.
    “Dr. Baker has been a speaker at Woodland Hills on several occasions and delivers excellent messages,” stated Deacon Travis York, who is serving as the church’s worship leader.
  Immediately following morning worship there will be a Hawaiian luau (southern barbecue) to which everyone is invited to remain.
  After this there will be fun, games, a cake walk, and door prizes throughout the afternoon.
  “Everyone is cordially invited to attend SS and Worship. Join us for the tasty luau and then  participate in all the exciting events of the afternoon,” stated Becky York, Event Chair.

Wednesday, October 31
  Sanders Chapel is hosting “Hallelujah Night” for the community on October 31, from 6-9 p.m. There will be food, fun, and games. A donation of $1 will be accepted at the door.

    Trunk or Treat will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church Wednesday night, October 31, beginning at 5 p.m. Following a wiener roast, children will be invited to visit the trunks of cars to receive their Halloween treats.

Sunday, November 18
    Everdale M.B. Church will have their Pastor Love Day Program Sunday, November 18, beginning at 3 p.m. Bro. Andrew Robinson, pastor of Second Baptist Church of Oxford, will be guest speaker. Rev. Phillip Brackett is pastor of the church. All invited to attend.
