December 7 and 8
A yard sale will be held at First United Pentecostal Church Friday and Saturday, December 7 and 8, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. The church is located at 300 Highway 7, north of Water Valley.
Available will be baby clothes, toys, ladies clothes, and much more.
Saturday, December 8
A benefit for Marcus “Speedy” White will be held at Bayson Chapel Church, 1272, CR 431, Water Valley, December 8, beginning at 5 a.m. This will be a benefit play entitled, “Traveler’s Guide to Heaven.” There is no admission but donations are requested.

The benefit program for Tonia Smith, scheduled for December 8 at Massey Grove M.B. Church in Oakland, has been postponed until a later date.
Sunday, December 9
The Sanctuary Choir of Woodland Hills Baptist Church will present their Christmas Cantata, “Worthy of Worship” during the regular morning worship service Sunday, December 9. The service, which will begin at 10:30 a.m., is under the direction of Music Director Patti Goodwin. Sammie Cobern will be at the piano and organist and narrator will be Barbara Warren.
“Everyone is cordially invited to attend this special musical program,” stated worship leader Travis York. This will be the only service of the day.
December 15 and 22
Adonai Church will offer a ‘Single Parent’s Day Out’ from 1 to 6 p.m. December 15th and 22. This free ministry, for children ages 18 months to 10 years, will allow single parents time for Christmas shopping. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Sunday, December 16
The choir of First Presbyterian Church will present its annual Christmas Cantata at the 10:55 a.m. morning worship service Sunday, December 16.
“Worthy of Worship” brings up a Christmas celebration that prompts us to pause and remember more than a sky filled with angels, a star, and an overcrowded inn.
“The story of Jesus is one of perfect atonement, salvation, deliverance from sin, and life everlasting,” said Rev. Harold Spraberry, who serves as narrator.
Soloist are Clyde Herron and Barron Caulfield.
Monday, December 24
First Presbyterian Church invites everyone to its Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6:30 p.m. Monday, the 24th. This will be a service of Christmas hymn singing, special music, scripture and candlelight.
Rev. Harold Spraberry invites you to join them as they celebrate the birth of Jesus.
“It is our hope in this season and in the coming year that you and your family experience the joy that only comes from knowing the Babe of Bethlehem,” Spraberry added.
