Meeting Scheduled At Masonic Temple This Thursday

    St. Cyr Commandery No. 6 will hold its next stated Conclave in the Masonic Temple on Champion Circle on Thursday, January 24, beginning with a pot luck super at 6 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join members for good food and fellowship and remain for an open installation of officers at 7 p.m. Make an effort to attend and support your Commandery.

Friends of Blackmur Memorial Library Meeting Set For January 25

The Friends of Blackmur Memorial Library will have an organizational meeting Friday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at Blackmur Memorial Library. Anyone interested in joining the organization is encouraged to attend. Officers and board members will be elected at this time.
The Friends of Blackmur Library offers support for the library by raising funding, sponsoring programs and promoting the library in the community. Volunteers also aid library staff with programs such as the Summer Reading Program and National Library Week. Chamber To Host After Hours Get Together At J’s on Main

    Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that they will host an After Hours get together for business owners, professionals, and those interested in the well being of the Water valley Area at J’s on Main on January 28, from 6-7 p.m.
     “Drop in and share in the conservation and enjoy visiting one of our new businesses on Main Street,” stated CofC President Daniel Martin.


Time Of Fellowship And Sharing Scheduled At WVHS On Jan. 28

    Principal’s link will be held at Water Valley High School on Monday evening, January 28, beginning at 6 p.m. All parents and members of the school community are invited to come to this informal time of sharing and fellowship. There is no agenda, the floor is open for anyone to ask questions, make suggestions, share concerns or share hopes and dreams for the future. Join Principal Glenn Kitchens for this open forum.
Beef Producers Meeting Set In Neighboring Calhoun County
    There will be a Beef Producers meeting Tuesday, January 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Building at Pittsboro. A short program will be held on the current beef market. Call 412-3177 no later than Friday, January 25, to allow the purchase of the correct amount of supplies for the meal.

Kick-Off Meeting For 2013 Relay Rescheduled For January 31

    Planning is underway for the 2013 Yalobusha County Relay for Life and a kick-off meeting is scheduled Thursday, January 31, at 5:30 p.m. in the Mechanics Bank Community Room.
All committee members, team captains and survivors are encouraged to attend this meeting. If you are interested in being on the 2013 Relay for Life Committee or starting a Relay for Life Team in Yalobusha County, please attend the meeting.

Blue Devil Baseball Boosters Sell Seats At The Stadium    

The Baseball Booster Club is selling seats at the stadium.
    Do you hate having to take a chair to sporting events?     
    Now you can reserve a permanent, front-row stadium seat at the Blue Devil baseball field and never have to carry a chair again! The booster club has a total of 52 seats available for $50 each. These seats are purchased every year as a fundraiser for Blue Devil baseball. However, once you purchase a seat, you have the option to renew it yearly before the seats are offered for sale again.
