Lenten Luncheons continue at First United Methodist Church this Thursday, March 7, beginning at noon.
Bringing the message this week will be Rev. Chris Cooksey of the Pope Charge in Panola County and the worship program will also include special music. The service will be held in the Fellowship Hall, with a light lunch provided at no charge. “Take a pause in your day’s occupation to join us for lunch and worship,” invites Rev. Allen McGraw, pastor.
Sunday, March 10
The Bayson Chapel Church family is pleased to invite the public to their Pastor and Wife Love Day Program Sunday, March 10, beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Sammy Townes of Spring Hill North M.B. Church will deliver the bread of life. He will be accompanied by his church family.
Rev. Amos Sims serves as pastor of Bayson Chapel.
“We are asking each and everyone to come out and make this day special for our pastor,” stated the Program Committee.
March 13-15
Pastor Sammy Townes and Spring Hill North M.B. Church presents “A Time of Refreshing” Spring Revival March 13-15, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be Pastor Frank Ray, III, of Memphis. Spring Hill is located at 600 Railroad Ave., Water Valley.
“Everyone is cordially invited to attend these revival services,” says Pastor Townes.
March 17-20
New Providence M.B. Church, located at 1412 Pope/ Water Valley Road, will have a three-night youth revival. Revival services will be held Sunday, March 17, beginning at 6 p.m., Monday, March 18, beginning at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, March 19, beginning at 7 p.m. Rev. Jerome Battle of Chapel Hill M.B. Church will be the guest speaker.
“Please come and help us lift up the name of Jesus. We look forward to worshipping with you,” stated Rev. Sidney Townes, pastor.
March 18-22
Tillatoba will participate in their annual Holy Week Celebration with several churches involved. They invite everyone to join them in these services. Services will begin Monday, March 18, under the direction of Oakland Presbyterian Church. The service will be held in the Methodist Church. Services continue Tuesday night at Spring Hill Baptist, Wednesday night at Oakland Baptist Church, Thursday night at Oakland Methodist, and Friday night at Tillatoba Baptist Church.
All services will start at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a meal.
