Sunday, May 26
    A patriotic service will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church Sunday, May 26 (Memorial Day Weekend).
  This will be Faith, Family, and Friends Day. Those attending are asked to wear red, white and blue if possible. If not any attire will be welcome.
  Rev. Lynn Jones, interim pastor, will bring the message and there will be special music. Following the morning service there will be a cookout. This will be the only service on this date.
  Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10:30.
  “All members  are expected to attend, those without a church home are  urged to join us, and everyone is welcome,” stated Becky York, Outreach Leader.

    The annual Lovejoy Church homecoming will be held Sunday, May 26, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the church in Panola County. Everyone is invited for a time of fellowship and worship. There will be a potluck picnic on the grounds after the service. Lovejoy is a Methodist Church founded in 1884 by early settlers in this area.

May 29-31
    A B.A.D. (Bold Active Determined Women of God) Conference will be held in Sanders Chapel M.B. Church. The three day conference will be held Wednesday, May 29, through Friday, May 31, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly.
  Minister Donna Blake of Oak Grove C.M.E. Church in Water Valley will be the guest evangelist on Wednesday. Pastor Marcus Dudley of Kingdom Movement in Coffeeville will be the guest evangelist on Thursday, and Pastor Nida Pittman of Mt. Herman A.M.E. Church in Grenada will the guest evangelist on Friday.
  “If you are a B.A.D. Girl, or you desire to be a B.A.D. Girl, this is the conference for you. Please come and be blessed on the three nights as we move higher and higher in the Lord,” invites Evangelist Lanell Steen.
  Sanders Chapel is located at 206 County Road 220, Water Valley, and the pastor is Rev. Mitchell Steen.
  “It’s time to have bold faith. God has called us to have Bold faith. He has called us to Actively seek Him. He has called us to embrace our God given destiny with Determination,” concluded Evangelist Steen.
