Three Blue Devils Place At State Meet

PEARL – All three Water Valley participants at the 2013 MHSAA 3A State Championship meet at Pearl High School came back with placing ribbons.
    Justin McCammon’s bid to defend his 2013 3A State Championship came up just short as he captured the Silver Medal this year. E.J. Bounds, who competed at the state meet for the second consecutive season, earned a Fourth Place Finish which is an improvement over his Eighth Place Finish in 2012. Jarard Williams also placed fourth in the long jump.
    This caps off another successful Track and Field Season for the Blue Devils. The sole remaining WVHS Athletic Event is the Blue Devil Football Spring Game on Friday at home versus the Winona Tigers. The annual Blue Devil All-Sports Award is set for Thursday during school.
    Blue Devil Track and Field was coached by Coach Bryant Mix, Coach Richard Russo, and Coach Regis Mister.
