Sanders Chapel, located in Water Valley, will hosts its mid-week service on May 22, beginning at 6 p.m.
“Sanders Chapel’s own Tommie Turner will be the speaker for the night,” stated Pastor Mitchell Steen. “Everyone is invited to come out and share this program with the Sanders Chapel Church family,” concluded Pastor Steen.
Sunday, May 26
A patriotic service will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church Sunday, May 26 (Memorial Day Weekend).
This will be Faith, Family, and Friends Day. Those attending are asked to wear red, white and blue if possible. If not any attire will be welcome.
Rev. Lynn Jones, interim pastor, will bring the message and there will be special music. Following the morning service there will be a cookout. This will be the only service on this date.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the worship service at 10:30.
“All members are expected to attend, those without a church home are urged to join us, and everyone is welcome,” stated Becky York, Outreach Leader.
The annual Lovejoy Church homecoming will be held Sunday, May 26, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the church in Panola County. Everyone is invited for a time of fellowship and worship. There will be a potluck picnic on the grounds after the service. Lovejoy is a Methodist Church founded in 1884 by early settlers in this area.
Bayson Chapel Church will celebrate with their Memorial /Homecoming Program Sunday, May 26.
The morning service will start at 9:45 with Sunday School and the Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. Beloved Pastor Amos Sims will bring God’s spoken word for the hour. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
The homecoming program will begin at 2, with the spoken word given by Rev. Steven Bilingslen of New Vision M.B. Church in Nashville, Tenn. The Bayson Chapel reunion choir will render the musical part of the program.
“Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” stated Pastor Sims and the Bayson Chapel Church family.
United M.B. Church (formerly Antioch and Muddy Creek) invite you to worship in a Memorial Day Program May 26, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Rev. Ralph Horton and Popular Springs Church of Eupora will be special guests. Lunch will be served following the morning service.

A B.A.D. (Bold Active Determined Women of God) Conference will be held in Sanders Chapel M.B. Church. The three-day conference will be held Wednesday, May 29, through Friday, May 31, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly.
Minister Donna Blake of Oak Grove C.M.E. Church in Water Valley will be the guest evangelist on Wednesday. Pastor Marcus Dudley of Kingdom Movement in Coffeeville will be the guest evangelist on Thursday, and Pastor Nida Pittman of Mt. Herman A.M.E. Church in Grenada will the guest evangelist on Friday.
“If you are a B.A.D. Girl, or you desire to be a B.A.D. Girl, this is the conference for you. Please come and be blessed on the three nights as we move higher and higher in the Lord,” invites Evangelist Lanell Steen.

Tillatoba Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 2 through 6 from 6-8:30 p.m. each night. Registration will be June 1 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church. Family night will be held June 7 from 6-8:30 p.m.
