Saturday, June 8
    The church family at Pleasant Grove Church welcomes the Gospel Lites as they celebrate their Pre-Anniversary on Saturday, June 8, beginning at 6 p.m.
    “Come and be blessed by their ministry,” stated Pastor Larry J. Hervey. Their anointed guests also include Favored, Clarks Chapel Youth and Young Adult Choir, Victory Over Struggles (VOS), Kerrie Sparrow, PI Ministry, and more.
    Union C.M.E. Church’s youth department will have a bake sale Saturday, June 8, in front of Larson’s Piggly Wiggly Store, starting at 8 a.m.
    “Please come out and support our youth,” stated Pastor James Johnson.

Sunday, June 9
    Pastor Kevin Lee, Sr. and the Hopewell M.B. Church family cordially invites all families and friends, near and far, to come fellowship with them on June 9, at 3 p.m. as they come together as one family in Jesus Christ.
    At this time they will celebrate their Family and Friends/ Memorial Show Yourself Friendly Because We Are Family. Special guests will be Rev. William Johnson and his church family from Mounds Pleasant M.B. Church in Pope.
    Old Union Baptist Church in Tula will have homecoming services Sunday, June 9. Singing will start at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. Everyone is invited to come out for this special service.
    Youth Day will be held at Pleasant Grove Church in Coffeeville, Sunday, June 9, beginning at 3 p.m. Minister Quinton Taylor of Southaven will deliver the Word and Unified Praise will be special musical guests.

 June 10-14
    Pastor Otha Coffey and members of Zion Grove M.B. Church, Coffeeville, cordially invite the public to come and fellowship, study, learn, and worship with them during their Bible Enrich-ment Services the week of June 10-14, starting at 7 p.m. each night. The dynamic speakers for the week will be: Minister Clara Pope, Minister Shirley Coffey, Minister Gail Thompson, Mini-ster L. Steen, and Minister Sue McClora.
    “We are excited about this event and are looking forward to your presence,” states Pastor Coffey.

Sunday, June 16
    The Mt. Moriah District Usher Federation will meet on the third Sunday in June, the 16th, at 3 p.m. in the Association Building at Coffeeville. Minister Jean Zinn will be the guest speaker. All ushers are asked to meet there.
    New Persimmon Hill Church in Oakland will host a Father’s Day program on Sunday, June 16 at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Robert Walker of New Trinity Baptist Church of Como as the special guest.     Willie Butler serves as pastor of  New Persimmon Hill.

Sunday, June 23
Everdale M.B. Church will have their annual Youth Day Program June 23, beginning at 3 p.m. Special guests for this eveing of fellowship and worship will be Pastor Amos Sims and the Bayson Chapel Church family.     

“Everyone is invited to come out and be a part of this glorious occasion,” stated Rev. Phillip Brackett , pastor.

Vacation Bible School

  “GOTTA MOVE! Keeping in Step With the Spirit” is the theme for this year’s Vacation Bible School at First Christian Church in Water Valley!
    “All youth, ages four through high school, are invited to join us June 9-13, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for this exciting time together,” stated Minister David Freeman.
  “Join the Go Fish Guys, DJ Praise-Z, Guy Fancypants, and your friends here at First Christian Church as we explore exciting Bible stories, sing up-beat songs, make wonderful crafts, and eat delicious refreshments. You will want to visit The Zoo, The Christmas Room, The Fruit Stand, The Weight Room, and The Antique Store!,” continued Bro. Freeman.
  First Christian Church is located at the corner of North Main and South Court Streets in Water Valley. For more information, or if you have any questions, please call Bro. Freeman, Minister, at the church office, 473-2884.

  Adonai Church will host Vacation Bible School July 8-12., from 6:30-8:30 each night. Participants from four years old through the twelfth grade are encouraged to attend the Colossal Coaster Program.

    Vacation Bible School will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church June 10-14, from 6-8:30 p.m. each night. “Jungle Jaunt” is the theme for this year’s VBS. Youngsters ages 3 through sixth grade are invited to attend. and “Jaunt through the rainforest with Club VBS”. Those attending will learn to “Praise Him! Follow Him! The One True God.”
  Each night students will enjoy Bible Study,  a Mission Story, lively music, fun recreation, delicious snacks, and creating exciting crafts, all in a jungle setting.
  “Please join us for this week of fun, fellowship and worship,” states Margie Pilcher, Director.
  Friday night will be family night, when families and friends of the students are invited to come and see what has happened during the week. Guests, students and staff will be treated to a finger food fellowship following the program. Family night will begin at 6 p.m.
