Michael Ray Carothers was stopped by authorities in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. and detained after the sheriff’s department entered his name in the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) back in June in connection to a burglary in Yalobusha County.
“We got warrants on him through justice court on June 27 but had not been able to catch up with him,” Sheriff Lance Humphreys told the Herald Monday morning.
Carothers has been charged with burglary and grand larceny.
Humphreys said a transport company out of West Memphis, Ark. will be hired to bring Carothers back to Water Valley this week.
