August 21-23
    Pastor Loyd Walton and the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ family in Coffeeville would like to invite the public to join them in a stirring revival. Whatever the issue, whatever the problem–Jesus is the answer. Revival services will be held Wednesday through Friday, August 21-23, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly.
    “We look forward to seeing you. Come looking for a blessing,” states Pastor Walton.
    Evangelist Albert Pass will be the speaker for the week.

Saturday, Aug. 24
    A gospel singing will be held at Clear Springs Baptist Church on August 24. The church is located at the corner of Gums Crossing Road and CR 186, outside Coffeeville.
    Special guest singers will be The Masters Quartet, including original  members. The singing starts at 7 p.m. and a love offering will be taken and refreshments served.

Sunday, Aug. 25
    The church family at Jumpers Chapel Congregational Metho-dist Church will hold their annual homecoming service on Sunday, August 25, beginning at 11 a.m. Bro. Bobby Jones, associate pastor, will bring the message, and special music will be provided by the Jumpers Chapel Choir, accompanied by Mr. Hubert Sanders, Mr. Paul Phillips and Ms. Vickie Martin on guitar. A time of food and fellowship will be held afterward in the church fellowship hall.
    For all those interested in the Jumpers Chapel Cemetery, a meeting will convene around 1:15 p.m. to hear reports on financial and maintenance issues.
    Bro. Joel Jones, pastor of Jumpers Chapel CM Church for the last 28 years, and the congregation invites all those who have been a part of the Jumpers Chapel Church and cemetery family over the last 120 years and anyone who just needs a good ole dose of God’s Word to come and join them in this time of worship of Jesus Christ.
    The annual Women’s Day will be held at Bethlehem Mission-ary Baptist Church on Sunday, August 25. Following intercessory prayer at 9:15 a.m., Sunday School will begin at 9:30.
    The morning speaker will be Minister Vada Hankins of Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Grenada, who is also the Mt. Moriah District Association’s missionary.
    The afternoon speaker will be Pastor Janice Nelson, accompanied by the Mt. Zion AME Zion Church family of Coffeeville.
    The theme of this year’s women’s day is “Women, Kingdom Builders for Christ!”
    Dinner will be served following the morning service.

    The church family at Pleasant Grove Church invites everyone to a Family and Friends Day Sunday, August 25, beginning at 2:30 p.m. A fellowship luncheon will be served prior to the worship service.
    “Everyone is invited to attend,” stated Gwen Arm-strong, chairperson, and Rev. Larry J. Hervey, pastor.
    Revival services will convene at Pleasant Grove August 25-29, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Pastor Johnnie Roland, 91, who is a member of Pleasant Grove and a pillar of the community, will serve as the revivalist at his home church for the first time in his ministry.

August 27-29
    Pine Grove M.B. Church will have summer revival services Tuesday, August 27 through Thursday, August 29, starting at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speakers include Tuesday night, Pastor Adam Tyson of Oak Grove M.B. Church, Water Valley; Wednesday night, Pastor Grady McKinney, Jr. of Parrish Grove M.B. Church, Oakland; Thursday night, Pastor Gregory Wilson of Mt. Grove M. B. Church, Coffeeville.

Saturday, Sept. 7
    Oak Grove C.M.E. Church in Water Valley will host a benefit program for Sis. Martha Telford on Saturday, Sept 7. She has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and is on the list for a heart transplant, therefore she is unable to work. The program will begin at 5 p.m.
    The church will also sponsor a bake sale on September 7, starting at 8 a.m. This will be held in front of Piggly Wiggly in Water Valley. Everyone is asked to come out and help show some love and financial support for Sis. Martha on this occasion.
