Sunday, Sept. 1
    Chapel Hill M.B. Church will host the annual Musician’s Appreciation Day/Choir Day Sunday, September 1, beginning at 3 p.m. The church is located at 1140 County Road 118, Water Valley.
    “We are asking your choir for an A and B selection and we are looking forward to your coming and helping with this celebration,” stated Pastor Jerome Battle, Musician’s President Josie Drane, and the Chapel Hill Church family.

    Woodland Hills Baptist Church will celebrate its 13th anniversary Sunday, September 1. Newly called pastor, Rev. Lynn Jones, will bring the message at 10:30. The day’s events will begin with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m.
    Following morning worship, a pot luck meal will be served in the fellowship hall.
    All former pastors and members are invited to attend, and all members are urged to be present.
    The day will also celebrate school spirit. Those attending are asked to wear their school colors if possible, and also to bring school day memorabilia to be shared.
  The morning services will be the only services of the day.

 Sept. 1-5
    Mt. Grove M.B. Church in Coffeeville will have revival services beginning Sunday night at 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday services will begin at 7 p.m. Rev. Amos Sims, pastor of Bayson Chapel Church and Moderator of the Mt. Moriah District Association, will be the guest speaker.
    “Come out and be blessed,” invites Rev. Gregory Wilson, pastor.
Saturday, Sept. 7
    Oak Grove C.M.E. Church in Water Valley will host a benefit program for Sis. Martha Telford on Saturday, Sept 7. She has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and is on the list for a heart transplant, therefore she is unable to work. The program will begin at 5 p.m.
    The church will also sponsor a bake sale on September 7, starting at 8 a.m. This will be held in front of Piggly Wiggly in Water Valley. Everyone is asked to come out and help show some love and financial support for Sis. Martha on this occasion.

Sunday, Sept. 8
    Sanders Chapel will have a revival service, “One Night of Fire” September 8, beginning at 6 p.m. Special guest will be Elder Michael C. Hickmon of Abundant Harvest in Charle-ston.
    “Come and experience a night of fire,” invites Pastor Mitchell Steen, and the Sanders Chapel Church Family.
    Pictures will be taken at Sanders Chapel Family Life Center Saturday, August 31, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a $5 sitting fee and you will receive a free 8×10 photo. For more information contact Sonya Murray at 473-8674.
Sunday, Sept. 15
    The Mt. Moriah District Usher Federation will meet the third Sunday in September, Sept. 15, beginning at 3 p.m. Minister Depavious Jones, associate minister of Pine Grove East M.B. Church, will deliver the message. “We are asking all ushers to please attend,” states Rev. Amos  Sims, Association Moderator.

    Camp Ground Baptist Church will have homecoming service Sunday, September 15. Bro. Billy Childs will be the guest speaker. “He has a special message for us all,” stated Interim Pastor Jerry King.
    Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., with worship service following at 11. A fellowship luncheon will follow the service.

Saturday, Sept. 21
    Full Voice Productions presents Kurt Carr and The Kurt Carr Singers live in concert Saturday, September 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held in Abundant Life Assembly, 1188 Cathy Dr., Grenada. Doors open at 5:30.         Tickets are available now and are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. For tickets in the Water Valley and Coffeeville areas call 417-3170.

Sunday, Sept. 22
    Everdale M.B. Church will have a Youth Fellowship Program, “Preaching from the Box,” Sunday, Sept. 22, beginning at 3 p.m. The theme of the program is “Therefore Be Ye Also Ready.”
    We look forward to fellowshipping with all of you,” states Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor, and the members of Everdale.
