Saturday, Sept. 21
    A gospel benefit program for Rev. Lawrence Matthews will be held September 21, beginning at 6 p.m. in Sanders Chapel M.B. Church.
    “We will bring back memories at Sanders Chapel,” stated Pastor Mitchell Steen.
    The financial blessings will go to Minister Matthews.

Sunday, Sept. 22
    The Philadelphia M.B. Church family cordially invites everyone to join them for their pastor’s and wife’s fifth year anniversary celebration Sunday, Sept. 22.
    Rev. Lee Robinson will bring the morning message at 11 a.m. He will be accompanied by his church family from Tubby Toby Baptist Church of Oxford.
     The 2:30 p.m. program speaker will be Rev. Thomas Tillman of Jackson Chapel M.B. Church of Bruce. Rev. Columbus Bell is pastor of the church, located on CR 211, Oakland.
    New Providence M.B. Church will have a choir day program Sunday, Sept. 22, beginning at 3 p.m. This will be in remembrance of the late Sis. Earline Hawkins. “Please come out and help us lift up the name of Jesus on this joyous occasion,” invites Rev. Sidney Townes.
    Everdale M.B. Church will have a Youth Fellowship Program, “Preaching from the Box,” Sunday, Sept. 22, beginning at 3 p.m. The theme of the program is “Therefore Be Ye Also Ready.”
    The church is located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.
    Pastor Sammy Townes and members of Spring Hill North M.B. Church invite everyone to come and share in their annual Youth Program Sunday, Sept. 22, beginning at 3 p.m. “We are asking your youth choir or praise team to render A&B selections at this great event,” stated Brenda Campbell, youth director.
Homecoming at the Tillatoba Baptist Church is scheduled on  Sunday, Sept. 22. Sunday School starts at 9:45 am with morning services at 11 a.m.
Bro. Rickey Glidewell will bring the morning message  and a meal will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Sept. 22-25
    Revival services will be held at Mt. Liberty Church Sept. 22-25. The service Sunday night will begin at 6 p.m. and services Monday through Wednesday nights will start at 7 p.m.
    Rev. Kevin Jackson, a former pastor who now pastors at Grace Baptist Church in Grenada, will be the guest speaker. The Ellis Family blue grass gospel group from Pope will provide the special music.The revival kicks off with a fish fry in the church fellowship hall September 21, beginning at 6 p.m.

Sept. 23-26
    Chapel Hill Church will have fall revival services September 23-26, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be Rev. Grady McKinley.
    “Come and be blessed through the word, ministry and music. We look forward to your presence and solicit your prayers,” stated Rev. Jerome Battle and the members of Chapel Hill.

Sunday, Sept. 29
    On Sunday, Sept. 29, the worship service at First United Methodist Church will be blessed with the powerful voice of gospel Singer gail Thompson. She has shared her gift there in the past, and members of the congregation have requested that she return. The service begins at 10:50 a.m. “This is an opportunity for anyone in the community to hear Ms. Thompson, all are welcome, so mark your calendar,” invites Pastor Allen McGraw.
    The pastor and members of Zion Grove M.B. Church, Coffeeville cordially invite the public to worship Sunday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. The message will be delivered by Minister Emma Hentz. The funds generated through this program will be used to complete some work already started in the cemetery.         

Sunday, Oct. 6
    Belle Flower M.B. Church of Grenada will have a nine year appreciation celebration for their pastor, Rev. R. L. Jackson, October 6, beginning at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Fredrick Ford, pastor of St. Paul M.B. Church, Cleveland.
