Sunday, Oct. 6
    The 33rd annual homecoming at Sand Springs Presbyterian Church will be held Sunday, Oct. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. Worship service will be led by Bro. David Freeman and Mary Edith Walker. During the service World Community Sunday will be observed. A potluck lunch will be served on the church grounds following service. Ice and picnic supplies will be furnished.
    Located at 267 CR 354 in Lafeyette County, the church was founded in 1850 and is on the National Register of Historical Sites. Copies of the book celebrating the 160th anniversary of the church are available for $12, plus $3 shipping. Call 234-4133 if you would like to purchase one.

    Belle Flower M.B. Church of Grenada will have a nine-year appreciation celebration for their pastor, Rev. R. L. Jackson, October 6, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Fredrick Ford, pastor of St. Paul M.B. Church, Cleveland.
    The church family at Spring Hill North Church will have their annual choir day October 6, beginning at 3  p.m.
    “We would like to have choirs share an A and B selection,” states Choir President Janet Woodard.
    The church family at Bayson Chapel Church will celebrate their 59th Lord Acre/Harvest Day Program Sunday, October 6. Morning worship begins at 9:45 with Sunday school, and the  service starts at 11 a.m.
     The Lord Acre/Harvest Program begins at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Andrew Robinson from Oxford will deliver the Bread of Life. He will be accompanied by his Second Baptist Church family. Lunch will be served.

Saturday, Oct. 12
    The Hopewell M.B. Church family will celebrate their Pastor’s and Wife’s First Year Appreciation Day October 12. There will be a love banquet in honor of Pastor Kevin D. Lee, Sr. and his wife at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Mt. Moriah District Association Building. Dress-up, come fellowship, and enjoy a scrumptious meal. Tickets are $10 each and are available from a Hopewell member.

Sunday, Oct. 13
    The annual Lovejoy Church Harvest Supper will be held Sunday, October 13, at 4 p.m. at the church in Panola County. Everyone is invited to attend for an afternoon of worship, fellowship, and telling stories about families and old times.
    A service will be held at Palestine Church Sunday, October 13, beginning at 1 p.m. “Please come and participate,” invites Dot Shelly.

    Spring Hill North M.B. Church, located at 600 Railroad Ave., Water Valley, will host the annual Women Day Program October 13, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Mini-ster Gloria Boyd of Greenwood.     “We are asking all ladies, who attend, to please wear white,” stated Minister Katherine Townes. “Our expectations are to see 100 women in white. The theme of the program is Women Preparing for the Lord. Luke 7:50.

Oct. 13-15
    Everdale M. B. Church will have annual fall revival services beginning Sunday, October 13, and continuing through Tuesday, Oct. 15. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. Bro. Michael Gordon, pastor of New Spring Hill, will be the guest speaker.
    All deacon and music ministries are invited to participate in the services.

Wednesday, Oct. 16
    Pleasant Agers will meet at Pleasant Grove  Baptist Church Wednesday, October 16. Meet and greet will begin at 11:30 a.m., with a potluck meal at noon. Mr. James Ellis Simpson from Macedonia Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. Pastor Justin Gates invites everyone to attend this special event.

Sunday, Oct. 20
    The pastor and members of Spring Hill South M.B. Church invite everyone to their pastor’s and wife’s 54th anniversary on October 20, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The congregation from Everdale M.B. Church will be special guests. Rev. W. M. Jones is pastor of the church.

Saturday, Oct. 26
 Jones Chapel Church will have their 137th Church Anniversary, beginning Saturday, October 26 at 3 p.m., with a fun fall fest on the lawn.
  Then on the 4th Sunday, October 27, they will celebrate at the 11 a.m. service, with the guest speaker, Rev. Lewis Cotton, bringing the message. The evening speaker at 2:30 p.m. will be Rev. William Jones, pastor of Springhill South M.B. Church, Coffeeville.
  Lunch will be served. “Everyone is invited to help celebrate at these special services, stated the Jones Chapel Church Family.

Sunday, October 27
    Hopewell M.B. Church will have their Pastor’s Love Day on October 27, beginning at 3 o’clock in the evening. Guests will be pastor Brames Jackson of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church in Starcity, Arkansas and his church family. Lunch will be served after the morning service. Everyone is welcome to come and be a part of this great occasion. Come prepared to be blessed. “We are excited about this celebration as we honor this great man of God, sent by God. Come one, come all,” invites the Hopewell Church family. Rev. Kevin D. Lee, Sr. is pastor of the church.
