Halloween Activities Planned At Cossar State Park

    Cossar State Park will host Halloween activities at the park on November 2. The fun-filled night gets underway at 7 p.m. and continues until 9 p.m. Activities include a haunted trail, games and a cake walk.

Former Holley Employees Invited To Reunion

    All former Holley Carburetor/Automotive employees, who were employed at the Water Valley plant are invited to a reunion. The reunion will be held in the Water Valley First Baptist Church Christian Activities Center (CAC) on October 24, beginning at 6 p.m. The cost of the fish dinner will be $12, to be paid at the door, cash only.

Masonic Chapters Plan Meeting

    McConico Chapter No. 96 RAM and J.J. Melton Council No. 50 R&SM will hold their next stated meetings on Thursday, October 10, in the Masonic Temple on Champion Circle. All members are hereby notified that the meeting time has been changed to 7 p.m. until further notice. All members are requested to make a special effort to attend.

Arts Council Seeks Participation For Entries In Christmas Parade

The Water Valley Arts Council is inviting members of the community to participate in their first “Decorate your bike, wagon,(anything on wheels) walking group which would be part of the annual Christmas Parade.  No electric or gas vehicles in walking group-just decorated fun, small vehicles.(wagons, strollers,bikes)

Herald Columnist Speaks At Next Historical Society Meeting

The Yalobusha Historical Society will meet Thursday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. in its headquarters, the former Presbyterian Church in Coffeeville. Charles Cooper, columnist, will be the guest speaker. Visitors are welcome.
