Sunday, Oct. 20
    This Sunday marks homecoming at First Presbyterian Church in Water Valley. Former members and friends are especially invited to attend the morning service. At noon there will be a fellowship luncheon. After the meal there will be time for any comments or reminisces anyone would like to share.
    Pastor Harold Spraberry invites everyone to join them as they mark their 170th year.

    The pastor and members of Spring Hill South M.B. Church invite everyone to their pastor’s and wife’s 54th anniversary on October 20, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The congregation from Everdale M.B. Church will be special guests. Rev. W. M. Jones is pastor of the church.

    Goshen Memorial Chapel will hold their fall homecoming services October 20, starting at 11 a.m. There will be a pot luck lunch after services for all to enjoy. “Come and bring your favorite dish and let’s fellowship and worship together,” invites the church family.
    “We welcome back the “Cannanlanders’ and ‘Fishers of Men’ for your afternoon gospel singing enjoyment,” continues the church family.
    Goshen is located six miles west of Coffeeville on County Road 211, then north 1/4 miles on County Road 226. Watch for sign.

    Camp Ground Baptist Church will host a singing featuring The Trailsman on Sunday, October, 20 at 6 p.m.

    Dr. Kimball Coburn will be the guest preacher during the Sunday morning worship service at First United Methodist Church on October 20, beginning at 10:50 a.m. Dr. Coburn, a United Methodist evangelist from California, uses his gift for song and story to help congregations “rethink” church. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” stated Rev. Allen McGraw, pastor.

    The pastor and members of Zion Grove M.B. Church in Coffeeville cordially invite the public to worship Sunday, October 20, for the annual church anniversary program. Sunday School will start at 10 a.m. followed by regular worship services at 11 a.m. and the church anniversary program at 2 p.m. The morning sermon will be delivered by Minister Corrine Anderson. The afternoon sermon will be delivered by Rev John Keeler, pastor of Oak Hill M.B. Church. Lunch will be served following morning worship.

Saturday, Oct. 26
    Jones Chapel Church will host the 137th Church anniversary, beginning Saturday, October 26 at 3 p.m., with a fun fall fest on the lawn.
     Then on the fourth Sunday, October 27, they will celebrate at the 11 a.m. service with the guest speaker Rev. Lewis Cotton bringing the message. The evening speaker at 2:30 p.m. will be Rev. William Jones, pastor of Springhill South M.B. Church, Coffeeville.
    Lunch will be served.

Sunday, Oct. 27
    Pastor Love Day at Hopewell M.B. Church will be held October 27, beginning at 3 p.m. Guests for the event are Pastor Brames Jackson of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church in Starcity, Ark. and his church family.
    “We welcome you to come and be a part of this great occasion. Come prepared to be blessed. We are excited about this celebration as we honor this great man of God, sent by God,” invite the church family. Minister Kevin D. Lee, Sr. serves as pastor of the church.

    The church family at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church cordially invites the public to worship with them during their homecoming service on the fourth Sunday, October 27, beginning at 2 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 3
    Chapel Hill will have Pastor Appreciation Day Sunday, November 3. Rev. Jerome Battle will celebrate his fourth year anniversary as pastor of the church.
    Minister Ethel Phillip will be the speaker for the morning service, which starts at 11:15 a.m. The church family cordially invites everyone to come out and worship with them.
