As the holidays approach the galleries in town are getting ready with new shows for the season. However, there is one show you need to see before it comes down if you have not already.
Interpreting the Photograph is a collection of photos from three different artists who have turned this practice into an art form in contemporary times. It is a digital age, and many photographers manipulate and interpret photos in ways that they become more than just snapshots. They become little masterpieces capturing mood and thought.
Clanton, who is one of the original alliance members of the Bozarts Gallery collective, has brought together two other artists to join her in this show. Ivo Kamps and William Goldman each bring their own unique perspective and vision to this exhibit making this collection of photographs visually compelling and interesting. Clanton specializes in digital montages and photographs celebrating the south. Her work evokes a yearning to see the places that she documents. This great exhibit represents how photography can be an art that tells a compelling story.
This show comes down on November 30th in time for the annual Holiday Miniature Show at Bozarts. Get ready also for the newest show at Yalo Studio.
It will be another art show/raffle with new paintings by Mike Howard. I got a sneak peek at his work, and it is going to be really fun!
More on these two shows in coming weeks. Please send me your arts related news to email@example.com.
