Blackmur Library Officers Plan Organizational Meeting
The Officers of the Friends of the Blackmur Memorial Library will have an organizational meeting on Friday February 7 at 11 a.m. in the library. All members are urged to attend and anyone interested in becoming a member of Friends of the Library is also welcomed.
Artists Needed For Bank Display
The Renasant Bank and Water Valley Arts Council are looking for artists to display their work at the bank in Water Valley. Painters, photographers, collagists and quilters are welcome. Lions Club Schedules Monthly Breakfast For Saturday
The monthly Lions Pancake Breakfast will be held Saturday, February 1, from 6:30-9 a.m. in the Depot Building on Main Street. The menu will be all you care to eat pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice. Plates cost $5 each.
Lions cheese is also still available.
“Everyone is invited to come out Saturday morning and enjoy a delicious breakfast, some great fellowship, and pick up a supply of cheese,” invites longtime Lions pancake cook Ernie Aune.
Billy’s Creek Water Association Sets Annual Meeting Date
Billy’s Creek Rural Water Association will hold their Annual Meeting on the second Monday in February, February 10, beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Sylva Rena Community Center.
Arts Council Extends Invitation To Monthly Meeting
The Water Valley Arts Council will be having their next meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Water Valley Main Street Association, 207 N Main St. You don’t have to be a member of the Arts Council to attend the meetings; enthusiasm, community spirit and good ideas are welcome.
