WVHS vs Calhoun City

Blood on the floor tonight, it was hard ball all night long as the Devils fought for every point.

Battle on the hard wood tonight found the Devils out of gas and a few points short.  Coach Jason Purdy said “They pressed us the whole game which made it hard to get a basket, and it never helps a team when your best point guard is in foul trouble early”.  The Water Valley Boys found a similar situation with the Wildcats.  Point guard and sharp shooter Skyler Defer couldn’t find his range due to the pressure, at times he had 2 or more Wildcat defenders on him.  The girls fell to the Lady Wildcats 29 to 50 and The Blue Devils boys fell to the Calhoun City Wildcats by a score of 59 to 81.  Check out the pictures here on Yalnews.com.
