Saturday, Feb. 15
    There will be a pastor ordination service for Jerry C. King at Camp Ground Baptist Church in Water Valley Saturday, February 15, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. King became the full time pastor of Camp Ground at the start of the year. All family and friends are invited to celebrate this special time in Jerry’s life.

    Everyone is cordially invited to attend the Christian Edu-cation Black History Musical Program in Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church February 15, beginning at 6 p.m. The church is located at 10372 Kennedy St., Coffeeville.
    There will be singing and praise dancers. “Please feel free to come out and praise the Lord with us,” stated Sis. Barbara Miller, District Director of Christian Education. The Dis-trict Director of Children is Sis. Debra Sherill, District Director of Youth is Sis. De’Kesha Chapman and the Christian Education Advisor is Rev. Dewayne Chap-man.

Sunday, Feb. 16
    Jones Chapel M.B. Church, Grenada, will have their annual Usher Sunday February 16, beginning at 2 p.m. Rev. Moushiut Knox and Turning Point M.B. Church of Grenada will be special guests.
    ”Everyone is invited to attend this special program,” state members of Jones Chapel.

    The pastor and members of Chapel Hill M.B. Church invite everyone to come out and worship with them as they celebrate Black History Month, Sunday, February 16.
    Minister Ethel Phillip will be the speaker for the morning service, beginning at 11:15 a.m.
    The guest speaker for the evening service, which will begin at 3 p.m., will be Rev. Lloyd Anderson, pastor of Massey Grove M.B. Church, Oakland. Lunch will be served.

    Spring Hill South M.B. Church, Coffeeville, will have their church anniversary program February 16. The morning service will begin at 11 o’clock and the afternoon service starts at 2:30 p.m. First New Hope M.B. Church and their pastor will be special guests.
    This will be a day filled with worship and praise for how God has blessed us, report Rev. W.M. Jones and the Spring Hill Church family.

Saturday, Feb. 22
    There will be a gospel singing  featuring The Trailsmen Quartet on Saturday, February 22, beginning at 6 p.m. at Camp Ground Baptist Church. Pastor Jerry King and members of the church would like to invite everyone to attend this program.
Sunday, Feb. 23
    Everdale M.B. Church, along with Faith Deliverance M.B. Church, and Pine Grove West M.B.C. of Oakland, warmly invite all to come out on Sunday, February 23, at 3 p.m. for Minister and Deacon Ordination services. The services will be held in Everdale, located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.
    The candidates for ordination are: Minister Pamela Pomlee as minister and Bro. Kelvin Pomlee as deacon of Faith Deliverance and Pine Grove West; and Bro. Anthony Benson and Bro. Roger Mayes, candidates for deaconship of  Everdale M.B. Church.
    Pastor Phillip Brackett of Everdale and Pastor Cleveland Alexander of Faith Deliverance and Pine Grove West, Oakland, will be in charge of the service.

    Union Hill Church will have their Black History Program February 23, beginning at 2:30 p.m. “Come out and fellowship with us,” says Rev. James Johnson and Barry Rucker. The speaker for the day will be Rev. T. K. Townsend from Bayson Chapel M.B. Church.

March 7, 8
    Y-Fest 2014 will be held Friday and Saturday, March 7-8, beginning each night at 7 p.m. Y-Fest will be held in the Yalobusha County Multi-Purpose Building, located at 18027 Highway 7, Coffeeville.
    Music for the event will be by The Tom Edwards Band. Jordan White of Water Valley will be the speaker each evening.
