Diamond Club Seeks Sponsors For Baseball Banners
The Water Valley Diamond Club is selling ad space on baseball banners to hang on the concession stand at the high school baseball field. The banners will replace signs hanging on field fences.
A company sponsorship is $100 (large outside block) and it is $50 to have names listed on the inside block. To claim one of the spots, mail a check to: Water Valley Diamond Club, C/O Sasha Hyde, 3 CR 431, Water Valley, MS 38965. Also let the booster club know how to list it on the banner.
Jeff Davis Water Association Will Have Annual Meeting
The Jeff Davis Rural Water Association will hold its annual meeting March 3, beginning at 7 p.m., in the association building located at 13589 Highway 32 West. All members are encouraged to attend.
Arts Council Announces Monthly Meeting
The Water Valley Arts Council will have its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at The Water Valley Main Street office, 207 N Main St. You don’t have to be a member of the Arts Council to attend, just come with community spirit and creative ideas for all ages. Early Promotion Price Offered For Valley Views
The 2013-14 Water Valley High School Valley Views annuals will go on sale beginning March 3 and the sale will continue through March 28 at a promotion cost of $45. After March the price will increase to $55, so reserve your annual now. The annuals are usually completed and shipped by mid-August. Pancake Breakfast Is Saturday
The regular first of the month Lion’s Pancake Breakfast will be held Saturday morning, March 1, between the hours of 6:30 and 9 a.m. Serving will be in the Lion’s Depot Building on Main Street and the menu will be the usual all you care to eat pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice. Price of plates will $5 each.
Lions Club cheese will also be available. “Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy a good meal and some great fellowship, while helping fund the many charitable projects of the Lions Club,” stated Lion Barron Caulfield.
