Sunday, June 1
    Pastor Kevin Lee and the Hopewell M.B. Church family invite each of you to worship with them Sunday, June 1, beginning at 3 p.m., as they celebrate their annual Family and Friends Day. Special guests will be Pastor Ralph Horton and the Poplar Springs M.B. Church family.
    Pastor Johnson and the Moorse Chapel Church family invite you to come and share with them in their annual Memorial Day Celebration to be held June 1, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Vernon G. Robinson will be the guest speaker for the event. He will be accompanied by the Coleman Chapel AM E Zion Church Family, “

June 1-5
    “Calling all youth, age four through high school! You are invited to join us for a wonderful week of Vacation Bible School at First Christian Church here in Water Valley,” stated Minister David Freeman.
    “Shine” is the theme for VBS and there will be great songs from the Go Fish Guys, exciting Bible Stories, cool crafts, fun games, and delicious refreshments. VBS will be held Sunday through Thursday evenings, June 1-5, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Come early to register. The church is located at the corner of North Main and South Court Streets, across from City Park. For more information, call Freeman at 473-2884.
June 2-6
    The pastor and members of Everdale M.B. Church, along with the pastor and members of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, warmly invite all to our yearly Vacation Bible School. VBS will begin Monday, June 2, and continue through Friday, June 6, at 6 p.m. nightly.
    This year’s theme is, “The Amazing Road Trip! Discover-ing God’s Purpose for Me.” (Jeremiah 29:11). Classes will be held at the Everdale CLC building, located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.
    Vacation Bible School will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church Monday-Friday, June 2-6, from 6-8:30 p.m. each night.
    There will be classes for ages three years old through teens. VBS Theme this year is Agency D3—discover, detect, and de-fend. The featured scripture is I Peter 3:15. Each night there will be assembly, mission stories, music, Bible study, crafts, recreation, and snacks.

Wednesday, June 4
    The church family at Adonai Church invites the public to join them Wednesday, June 4, from 6:45-8 p.m. for the kick-off of their youth and younger ministry, The HOPP. There will be food, games and fun for everyone. The church is located at 44457 Highway 315, which is halfway between Highway 6 and Water Valley. Saturday, June 7
    Members of Hopewell Baptist Church invite everyone to hear the Trailsman  Quartet Saturday, June 7, beginning at 6 p.m. The church is located at 8004 CR 95, Water Valley. Refreshments will be served after the singing.
    Bayson Chapel Church presents Youth Weekend 2014, “Turn Up For Christ!” on June 7, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. All area youth are invited to breakfast and RAP sessions, “Dressing to Impress,” “Athletics and God,” “Business and Finance,” Female Etiquette and Knowing Your  Worth,” and “Male Etiquette and Knowing Your Worth.”
    A picnic will follow on the Cox Estate, located on Highway 315, from 12-3 p.m. Transporta-tion will be provided to the picnic. Parents must secure transportation home. Contact Rod-ney L. Lawrence, (662) 473-0135 for further information.

Sunday, June 8
    Old Union Baptist Church in the Tula-Yocona Community will celebrate homecoming on June 8, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Bro. Michael Callahand and the Trailsman Quartet will be there to help celebrate this special occasion. There will be a potluck lunch in the fellowship hall and the singing will continue in the afternoon.
    “We look forward to seeing you,” stated the church family.
