Sunday, June 15
The Mt. Moriah District Usher Federation meets every third Sunday, before a fifth Sunday. The workshop is Sunday, June 15, beginning at 3 p.m., in the Mt. Moriah Association Building, Coffeeville. All ushers in the district are asked to come and provide input. Rev. Mitch Steen, pastor of Sanders Chapel M.B. Church is the guest speaker.

The public is invited to join Pastor Otha Coffey and members of Zion Grove M.B. Church on Sunday, June 15, for the Father’s Day program at 3 p.m. The guest choir will be the Community Outreach choir and the message will be delivered by Minister Dennis Townes.
June 16-20
There will be a revival on Martin Street at Serenity-Daniels Funeral Home June 16-20, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. The revival theme will be “There is Power in the Name of Jesus.”
The speakers will be Minister Woodrow Daniels, Minister Kenny Robertson, and Evan-gelist Nakeya Sanders. The Valley Prayer Team, led by the Holy Spirit, feels that a powerful chain breaking and yoke destroying revival is much needed in Water Valley.
June 20-22
Everyone is invited to the annual meeting at Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church, Water Valley, the fourth weekend in June, June 20-22. Services Friday night begin at 7 p.m. and Saturday morning the service will start at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch. There will be no afternoon service. Elder James Hall will minister on Sunday morning, beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch. Elder Josh Winslett is the invited minister and Elder James Hall is the pastor at the church.

The Spring Hill North Baptist Church family invites the public to attend the annual Youth Day Program, which will be held Sunday, June 22, beginning at 3 p.m.
“We are asking your praise team and/or youth choir for an A & B selection,” stated Brenda Campbell, youth director.

The Pleasant Grove Usher Ministry invites everyone to their annual Usher Day Sunday, June 22, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Phillip Brackett and the Everdale Church family are special guests. Rosemary Gee will serve as the worship guide. “Hopefully, no one feels slighted for not receiving a personal invitation as this is it,” stated Rev. Larry J. Hervey, pastor. “You are special guests and if you are an usher or greeter at your church, please wear your uniform and fellowship with the others who have undertaken this ministry of service,” concluded Lillie Roberts, Usher President.

Mt. Zion AME Church will have summer revival services June 24-26, beginning at 7 p.m. each night. God’s instruments will be: Rev. Mitchell Steen, Pastor of Sanders Chapel, Water Valley, on Tuesday, June 24; on Wednesday, June 25, Minister Lanell Steen of Sanders Chapel, Water Valley; and on Thursday, June 26, Rev. Ralph A. Horton, Pastor of Poplar Spring M.B. Church.

The Women’s Missionary Society of Miles Memorial CME Church invite the public to their 10th Walton/ Dowsing Memorial Scho-larship Program. The program will be held at Miles Memorial CME Church Sunday, June 29, beginning at 3 p.m.
The speaker for the program will be Rev. Kenneth Rogers, pastor of Beverly Chapel Christian Methodist Church in Holly Springs. “Rev. Sherlyn Brown, pastor, and Miles members are excited about how God is going to bless this program,” stated Rubye L. Carr, Missionary President.
WMS is still asking for donations to help fund the Walton/Dowsing Scholar-ships to award a $500 scholarship, or possibly more, to a deserving student or students.
“Due to your generosity, we have been able to provide two to four scholarships per year. Prayerfully, we will be able to provide multiple scholarships again,” continued Mrs. Carr.
Members of the Com-munity Involvement Group and the Davidson High School Class of 1967 will award the Hazel Hawkins Memorial Scholarship and the E. C. Davidson Memorial Scholarship. Approximately five scholarships, totaling $2500, will be awarded at the scholarship program.
