This is your last chance to see the early summer shows at local galleries, Yalo Studio and Bozarts Gallery, as they gear down for summer break. As the heat increases the galleries take short breaks and then will open back up just in time for the Watermelon Carnival. If you have not gotten a chance to see the works up, please check them out before the end of the month.
Unstill Life at Bozarts Gallery features work by local artist, Mari Foster and painter David Race from Coffeeville. This show is interesting and shows off the talent of both artists involved. The mirror gallery features work by all alliance members including a spotlight wall including photographs of Water Valley by Ed Croom. This show comes down after Saturday June 28. The gallery will close for July and will reopen for the carnival.
Bradley Gordon: Recent Work is a colorful showcase of Gordon’s signature style and masterful paintings of wildlife. Originally from the Delta, Gordon has relocated to Oxford. His work will be up until the end of the month as well.
Please call the studio for more information on their summer hours at 662-473-9099.
Stay tuned as Mary Lapides brings in another guest artist to the Valley to create an art installation. Susan Cianciolo will be working on a textile project from July 24th, with an opening at Yalo Studio on August 1st.
More information on this will be featured in upcoming columns. If you have any interesting art news please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
