Letter To The Editor – Aug. 14, 2014

Dear Editor,
  PBS is currently running a Public Service Announce-ment about taking our state from Fat to Fit. Obviously we need more exercise, and that is the purpose of this letter.
  What our town needs is a centrally located recreation center with, perhaps, a ping pong table, pool table, pin ball machines, card and board games or several card tables, and a good variety of snack and drink machines.
  It seems that we were told that that would be forthcoming, but it was not to be.
  I am quite sure that folks would gather for good times and fellowship at Rook, bridge, chess, dominoes, checkers, canasta, monopoly, and many other competitive games. It is as important to exercise our minds as our backs. Let’s do both.
