Fall Brings New Lineup For Art Shows And Events

By Andi Bedsworth

As the children return to school, we start thinking about the diminishing summer and how the approaching fall season is on its way. Main Street galleries are preparing for upcoming shows and exhibits including the ever popular Studio Crawl set for September. Though not all of the details are set, I will give you a brief overview of what to expect in the coming months.
Bozarts Gallery is going to have a show in September that features alliance members Nicole Gladden, Hanne Gaycken, and Jeff Long. Gladden will display her mixed media acrylic and collage style paintings and Gaycken and Long will show their pottery and woodwork creations respectively.
In late October and November, get ready for the Altar-ed States/Day of the Dead show featuring works celebrating All Saints Day. There will be work by many artists represented in the exhibit all crafted to reflect the spirit of celebrating those who have passed. December brings the very popular miniature show back in the gallery, and this year’s works will be a little smaller than last years.
Other galleries including Yalo Studio and J Clayton’s Eclectic Art Studio are getting in on the action as well and will have work up throughout the season. Expect jewelry from Natalie Rodgers at J. Clayton’s and Yalo always has fun shows planned. I will update you more on those schedules as I receive them.
So get ready for an artistic landslide of activities to come your way in the coming months.
