Saturday, August 23
    There will be a singing at Camp Ground Baptist Church Saturday, August 23, beginning at 6 p.m. The featured singer will be Malcolm Lindsey. Everyone is invited to come out and have a good time.

    Bayson Chapel M.B. Church is hosting a back to school rally on Saturday, August 23.
    “Come out and join us as we send our kids back to school prayed up and ready to attack the ways of the devil that will attack them during the school year,” invites Rev. Amos Sims, pastor. “Everyone is encouraged to come out and join us as we motivate, support, and pray for our kids, the faculty, and administration across our schools,” continued Bro. Sims. Pastor
    Teri Barnes will the powerful guest speaker. The theme for this wonderful occasion is “Well Done,” with scripture 2 Timothy 2:15.
    Please arrive on time. The program will begin promptly at 8 a.m. A delicious breakfast will be cooked and served immediately after the message. Youth of all ages are welcome to attend.

August 25-29
    Annual revival services will be held at Pleasant Grove Church on August 25-29. The services will begin at 7 p.m. each night and Pastor Willie Forrest of Spring Hill Pope Baptist Church will be the guest revivalist. “
    Come hear a word from the Lord for this appointed time,” invites Rev. Larry J. Hervey, pastor. The church is located at 21967 Highway 7, Coffeeville.

Sunday, August 24
    First United Methodist Church will offer a new Wednesday night children’s program. Offered this year will be AWANA! The church will host AWANA kick-off from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, August 24. Join FUMC for a fun time, hotdog, and register your child/children for a fun, fun, fun, year of Bible exploration, game time, and fellowship. The staff will be on hand to answer questions.
    AWANA clubs are free and open to all boys and girls, ages two through the sixth grade. Suggested donations will be greatly appreciated to meet the handbook and uniform fees of $25 per child. Clubs meet every Wednesday evening, starting August 27, from 6-7:30 p.m. For questions, or more information, call the church at 473-2682.

Sunday, August 31
    Allen Sibley and the Magnolia Ramblers will be at North Main Methodist Church Sunday, August 31, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this time of music and praise. The church is located at 106 N. Court Street in Water Valley.

Sunday, Sept. 7
    The church family at Hopewell M.B. Church will host their annual Men and Women Day Celebration September 7, beginning at 3 p.m. Special guests will be Pastor Larry W. Ware and the Bethlehem M.B. Church family. The Skuna Valley Male Choir will also render music. Men are asked to dress in “black” and women are asked to wear “hats.”
    “Everyone is invited to come, worship with us during this special program, and be blessed on this grand occasion,” stated Pastor Kevin Lee, Sr. and the Hopewell M.B. Church family.

    Woodland Hills Baptist Church will have a homecoming service Sunday, September 7, at the regular 10:30 morning worship time. Bringing the message will be former youth pastor, Craig Warren of Senatobia, who is now a student at New Orleans  Baptist Seminary. The music will be under the direction of Linda Williams, who served as minister of music for the church for several years.
    Lunch will be served following this service. This will be the only service of the day.
    “All members are urged to attend and all former pastors, former members, friends and relatives are cordially invited to join us for this service,” stated Rev. Lynn Jones, pastor.

Sunday, Sept. 21
    The church family at Chapel Hill M.B. Church will have their annual Choir Day and Musician Appreciation Program Septem-ber 21, beginning at 3 p.m. Church choirs attending are asked to render two selections of your choice. The church is located at 1140 CR 118, Water Valley.
    “Everyone is invited to attend this program,” stated Rev. Jerome Battle, pastor, and Choir President Josie Drane.
