Are you currently unemployed or looking for a new job?
MSU Extension Services’ is here to help. On Tuesday August 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. there will be a special class on how to search for jobs online at the Yalobusha County Extension Office. This training will help participants identify where to look for job postings online and how to make sure that they are legitimate positions.
The class will also allow participants to ask questions about what search engines are best for job searches; as well as how and where to look for state or government current job postings. The instructor will be Duan Walker from the Extension Delta Region and the Center for Technology Outreach. This class if free to the public; but we do require that you call the Yalobusha County Extension office to register for the course, due to limited space. If you have any questions regarding this or any other program; please contact me at the Yalobusha County Extension Office.
I’m sure you have heard all about this great thing called Pinterest….but do you really know what it is or how it works?
I’m happy to say that our third class in our social media mini-series will be on Pinterest. The training will be held at the Yalobusha County Extension Office on Tuesday Sept.9, from 3 to 5 p.m. The class cost $2, which covers light refreshments.
Lara Bowman of the Center of Technology Outreach will be conducting the class. This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn the ins and outs of social media. Participants will become proficient in the latest Pinterest features, including how it works, what you can use it for, how it can help improve the organization of your ideas, and so much more.
We had a great turn out at the Facebook training on July 17 and our Instagram training on August 14. We hope you will join us for this last session in our Social Media Mini-Series.
Space is limited, please call the Extension Office at 675-2730 by Tuesday Sept. 2 to register for this program.
