Saturday, Sept. 6
    A singing will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church on Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. The guest singers will be The Fishers of Men and Shirley Berry. There will be a small meal afterwards.

Sunday, Sept. 7
    A senior citizen program will be held with morning worship service at Bayson Chapel, Sunday September 7, at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

    The church family at Hopewell M.B. Church will host their annual Men and Women Day Celebration Sept. 7, beginning at 3 p.m. Special guests will be Pastor Larry W. Ware and the Bethlehem M.B. Church family. The Skuna Valley male choir will also render music. Men are asked to dress in “black” and women are asked to wear “hats.”

    Woodland Hills Baptist Church will have a homecoming service Sunday, September 7, at the regular 10:30 morning worship time. Bringing the message will be former youth pastor, Craig Warren of Senatobia, who is now a student at New Orleans  Baptist Seminary. The music will be under the direction of Linda Williams, who served as minister of music for the church for several years. Lunch will be served following this service, the only service of the day.
    “All members are urged to attend and all former pastors, former members, friends and relatives are cordially invited to join us for this service,” stated Rev. Lynn Jones, pastor.

    The Bayson Chapel Church family would like to invite the public to join them in celebrating their senior citizens. The Senior Citizens Program will be held Sunday, September 7, along with their morning worship service, at 11 a.m.
    
Saturday, Sept. 13
    The first public sermon of Minister Rogers Mayes will be given on Saturday, September 13, at 6 p.m. in Everdale Missionary Baptist Church, located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley.

    There will be a gospel singing at New Life Fellowship, Oakland, on Saturday, Sept. 13, beginning at 7 p.m. Featured will be the Hankins Family from Crowder, Jerry and Spin Smith, and others. The church is located on Highway 32, one and one-half miles east of Interstate 55, Oakland. Everyone is invited to attend.

    The women of Smith Chapel M.B. Church, Coffeeville, will be sponsoring a Women Empower-ing Women (WEW) Conference Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Smith Chapel Church. Sis. Essie Gary of Oakland and Sis. Teresa Phillips of Oxford are the speakers for this occasion. Minister Maggie Williams will be the facilitator. Toward the end of the conference, Sis. Brenita Smith Moore will do a presentation of facials. There will be brunch, Bible quiz, and prizes given away. All women, regardless of race and age, are invited to come out.

Sunday, Sept. 14
    The House of Prayer Church of God in Christ, located at 811 Mills St., Water Valley, has scheduled the  2nd annual Praisefest September 14, beginning at 3 p.m.
    “Come and enjoy this exciting and spiritually uplifting event,”invites Supt. Elder Moses Wright, Sr., pastor. The anointed Minister Shameika Lane and Warriors of Worship will be the guest artists. Evangelist Evelyn Willingham is choir president, Bro. Joseph Judson and Minister Kelvin Willingham are coordinators.

Sept. 15-17
    Pine Grove East M.B. Church will have revival services beginning September 15 and continuing on the 16 and 17. The services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be Pastor Larry Ware of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Coffeeville. He will  be accompanied by his church family.     
    “Along with the members of Pine Grove, I invite you to come out and worship with us during these revival services,”stated Pastor Lenair Person.

Sunday, Sept. 21
    The church family of Camp Ground Baptist Church will have their homecoming service September 21, beginning at 11 a.m. Bro. David Ross will bring the message. There will be a pot luck lunch immediately following the morning service and there will be no evening service.

    The church family at Chapel Hill M.B. Church will have their annual Choir Day and Musician Appreciation Program Septem-ber 21, beginning at 3 p.m. Church choirs attending are asked to render two selections of your choice. The church is located at 1140 CR 118, Water Valley.
    “Everyone is invited to attend this program,” stated Rev. Jerome Battle, pastor, and Choir President Josie Drane.

Sunday, Sept. 21
    The pastor and members of Zion Grove M.B. Church, Coffeeville cordially invite the public to worship Sunday, September 21, for the annual homecoming program. Sunday School will start at 10 a.m. followed by regular worship service at 11 a.m. and the homecoming program will start at 2:30 p.m. The morning message will be delivered by Pastor Otha Coffey. Minister Joyce Williams from Charleston will deliver the afternoon message.

Saturday, Sept. 27
    New Freedom Church, 206 Hwy 30 in Oxford, will present “A Night of Praise and Worship” on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. Minister Christopher Robinson of Memphis, Tenn., will be the worship leader. Admission is free. For more information, call Pastor Edwin Smith at 662-801-8721.

Sunday, Sept. 28
    The annual “Preaching from the Box” fellowship program will be held at Everdale M.B. Church Sunday, September 28, beginning at 3 p.m. Speakers will include: Pastor Jamuel Johnson; Pastor Larry Hervey; Minister Calvin Hawkins; Pastor Cherdrick Jefferies; Pastor Erwin Phillips; Minister Aduba Hervey; and Minister L. J. Matthews.
