Extension Service Workshop Provides Hands-On Learning For iPad, iPhone Use

By Allyson Coleman

MSU Extension Services offers assistance to local businesses and local community organizations in areas of social media marketing, technical support, website development, creating business plans, and more.  We have already started working with two very important businesses in the county through our VIP program.
There we have begun building websites and started to master using social media as a marketing tool.  We have also taught these businesses how they can create shopping cart features within their website to increase sales.  If your business needs help in any of these areas or you are interested in more information about the VIP program, please contact me at the local Extension Office at  675-2730.

Iphone/Ipad Workshop
Do you have one of these gadgets?  While an Iphone and an Ipad can both be great tools with wonderful special features, they can sometimes be difficult to figure out.  If you are having difficulty learning how to properly use you Iphone or Ipad and all the special features that come along with it, we have the training for you!
During this class, Jamie Varner, Extension Instructor with the Center for Technology Outreach, will show participants how to use their Iphone or Ipad, how to take advantage of all the special features they provide, and how to properly run your Iphone or Ipad.
Jamie will also work hands on with you and your device during this class.  Bring your Iphone or Ipad and come learn with us, on Friday, September 26 from 10:15 a.m. to noon.  The class will be held at the Yalobusha County Extension Office.  Cost for the workshop is $2, which covers light refreshments.  Fees must be paid to be considered registered for the class.  Space is limited.  Please call and sign up by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24.
