October 10 Is Deadline To Register For Holiday Open House

The Yalobusha County Extension Service and the Coffeeville Chamber of Commerce will host a Celebrating the Holidays at the Holiday House on October 25, 2014 from 9-5 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Building in Coffeeville. There will be arts and crafts vendors, holiday demonstrations, concessions, and a concert.
Cost off admission will be one canned food item! This can food donation is the kick off to our annual Food for Families Food Drive with WTVA. Booth registrations are $25 dollars for a 12×12 space, electricity not available. All food vendor spaces cost $35 dollars and come with electricity. If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact Allyson Coleman at the 675-2730 or mail the below form back to us, in order to reserve your spot by October 10. All vendor spaces are first come first serve, so call and reserve your spot as soon as possible.
We had so much fun at our last DIY Chalk Paint Class that we are going to do it again. Our next class will be on Friday, September 26, from 1 to 3 p.m.  The cost is $10 and will cover your painting supplies. You will need to bring a small item to paint – candlestick, picture frame, bowl, candy dish, letter for your door, etc. You can contact the Extension Office to register, 675-2730.  However, money should be paid to complete your registration and reserve your spot. Space is limited.
The Healthy You Exercise Group meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Extension Office. Join us for up to 45 minutes of low impact physical activity.  If you come, make sure you wear comfortable, cool clothes, good walking shoes and bring some water to drink.
The Crochet group will meet on Thursday, September 18 at 10 a.m. This group is free and is open to the public. If you would like to learn to crochet or if you would just like a group to meet with to work on your crocheting then this is the group for you. We hope you will join us.
The Sewing for Service group will meet on Monday, August 18 from 10 a.m. until 2 p .m. Currently the group is working on wheelchair bags for residents at the Yalobusha General Nursing Home. This group is open and is free to the public. We have material and machines we just need you!
The United Y.C. MHV Club will meet on Tuesday, September 16th at 9 a.m. for their business meeting.
At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, Mary Linda Moore,  Family Resource Management Area Agent, will present a program on Identity Theft. The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. This program is sponsored by the Mississippi Homemaker volunteers.
