Classes At Mississippi Baptist Seminary Resume On Sept. 25
The Mississippi Baptist Seminary will meet on Thursday, September 25, at 6:30.p.m. in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. The course of study for this semester is “Worship.”

Live Music Planned At Pickin’ Shed Friday And Saturday Night
The Pickin’ Shed, located on Highway 9 West at Banner will have a singing weekend September 26 and 27. Friday night there will be live music with the House Band, including J. D. Long and Bill Bailey, The Ellis family, and Jerry and Spin Smith. Saturday will be karaoke. Music begins at 7 each night and a potluck meal is served at 6. All are are welcome. There is no admission, but donations are appreciated.
JA Hosts BBQ, Blue Jeans & Blues Fundraiser For Children
Junior Auxiliary of Water Valley is hosting BBQ, Blue Jeans & Blues, a fundraiser for children. This event will be held Saturday, October 11, at 5 p.m. on Enid Lake. Principal’s Link will be held at Water Valley High School on Monday evening, September 29, beginning at 6 p.m. All parents and members of the school community are invited to come to this informal time of sharing and fellowship. Annual Walker Cemetery Cleaning Day Is October 4
The annual Walker Cemetery cleaning is scheduled Saturday, October 4. All family and friends wanting to participate are encouraged to come early with yard tools and a covered dish to share for lunch afterward. Anyone unable to attend, but who would like to make a donation, may do so at the Mechanics Bank to the Walker Cemetery Fund. If you have any questions please contact Sheila Nelson at (662) 473-1295.
Funds Needed For Cemetery Upkeep At Camp Ground
Funds are needed for the upkeep of Camp Ground Cemetery. The cost for this service is approximately $2,500 a season. Funds can be sent to Mechanics Bank, P. O. Box 707, Water Valley, MS 38965. Contributions are sorely needed. Thank you for your assistance.
Driver’s Flat Sponsors Car Show
An open competition car show will be hosted by Driver’s Flat Baptist Church October 11, starting at 9 a.m. The church is located on Calhoun County Road 284, two and one-fourth miles west of Highway 9W.
There will be a free fish or chicken dinner. Donations will be accepted to benefit James Potts, who battled cancer.
There will be preaching/singing. There will also be a $200 cash prize drawing for car participants.

Date Set For Annual Parade
The annual Water Valley Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 6, beginning at 1 p.m. The rain date will be the following Saturday, if needed. All churches, businesses, factories, school groups, and individuals are urged to participate in the Water Valley Christmas Parade. Contact J. C.
