Saturday, Oct. 11
There will be a gospel singing at New Life Fellowship, Oakland, on Saturday, October 11, beginning at 7 p.m. The singing will feature Magnolia Gospel from Grenada, Jerry and Spin Smith and others. The church is located on Highway 32, one and one-half miles east of Interstate 55, Oakland. Everyone is invited to attend.
Sunday, Oct. 12
Everyone is invited to attend Senior Citizens Recognition Day at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church on Sunday, October 12, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Tommy Goodwin and the Bridges Chapel Church family will be special guests.
“All senior citizens are especially welcome to fellowship with our seasoned saints and everyone else is asked to come and help honor them,”stated Rev. Larry J. Hervey, pastor.

The Gatewood Church of God, located at 2168 CR 211, Coffeeville, will have their Pastor Appreciation Day Sunday, October 12, in honor of Pastor Freddie Moorman and his family. Services begin at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Fred Eakes. A potluck lunch will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
Oct. 18 & 25
The youth department at Woodland Hills Baptist Church will hold backyard vacation Bible Schools on all Saturdays in October. VBS will be held in Water Valley’s City Park from 1-4 p.m. on October 4, 11, 18, and 25. Included in each day’s activities will be Bible study, crafts, recreation, and light refreshments.
“All young people are invited to attend any, or all, of these sessions,” stated Dustin Pierce, Youth Minister.
Saturday, Oct. 18
The Bayson Chapel Church family invites the public to come out and support Minister Michael Jefferson, who will be inspiring family and friends with his first sermon Saturday, October 18, beginning at 5 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 19
Hopewell M.B. Church will have their Harvest Day Program October 19, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Amos Sims, pastor of Bayson Chapel M.B. Church, will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by the Bayson Chapel Choir.
“He will bless our souls with the word. We encourage your participation in this service and we welcome you to come and be a part of this great celebration,” states Pastor Kevin D. Lee, Sr. and the Hopewell Church family. Refreshments will be served following the evening program. “Come and be fed both physically and spiritually with ‘Soul Food and Food For The Soul’, concluded Pastor Lee.

The church family Goshen Memorial Chapel will have their annual fall homecoming October 19. Services begin at 11 a.m. and there will be a pot luck lunch at noon.
After lunch everyone will join together in song to praise and glorify our Lord. Guests singers will be “Fishers of Men” and “Cannan Landers,” who will present gospel music.

A gospel singing, featuring The Trailsmen Quartet, will be held at Camp Ground Baptist Church on Saturday, October 25, beginning at 6 p.m.
“We would like to invite everyone to come and enjoy a wonderful time in God’s House with us,” stated Pastor Jerry King. There will be finger foods served after the singing.

Bro. Jerry King, pastor of Camp Ground Baptist Church, invites everyone to attend the deacon ordination service for Bro. Billy Jones. All ordained men are invited to attend the ordination council meeting at 2 p.m. and the ordination service will begin at 3 p.m. on October 25.

Pastor Riley Suggs and members of Jones Chapel Church are celebrating the 139th church anniversary on the fourth Sunday, October 26, at 2 p.m. Pastor Norman Small and his church family from Piney Grove M.B. Church of Cascilla, will be special guests. Dinner will be served after the 11 a.m. service. Everyone is invited.

Battle of Chapel Hill and Mount Olive, will be the guest speaker. Sis. Mary Pride of Batesville will be the guest choir director. Rev. James Johnson is pastor of the church and Sis. Florine Holmes is Missionary President.
