Deadline Is Approaching To Reserve A Booth For Holiday Open House

By Allyson Coleman

It’s getting closer and closer and the deadline to reserve a vendor booth is quickly approaching!  Plans are have been finalized for the upcoming Holiday House on October 25, from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Building in Coffeeville.  Come on out to shop and enjoy our arts and crafts vendors, holiday demonstrations, entertainment and concessions from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.          There will also be a children’s play area featuring jumps and slides. Then stick around for a concert by The Bouffants and concessions from 6-9 p.m. Don’t miss out on all the fun, food, and prizes!
Admission is free, but we do ask that you bring one canned food item.  This donation is the kick off to our annual Food for Families Food Drive with WTVA. Booth registrations are $25 dollars for a 12×12 space, electricity not available.  All food vendor spaces cost $35 dollars and come with electricity.  Food vendors are requested to stay open during the day time events as well as the concert at night.  If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact me at the 675-2730, in order to reserve your spot by October 10, 2014.  Don’t forget, the deadline for booth registration is this Friday, so call me today!  All vendor spaces are first come first serve and non-competing.  Bring your family and your friends and come celebrate the holidays with us at the Holiday House!
The Center for Government and Community Development is hosting a public forum.  This forum will be about the communities’ economic trends, retail trade, and opportunities for growth.          “Taking a look at a community’s economic snapshot is an ideal way to determine ways to improve business and downtown development,” said GCD Director Sumner Davis.             “Residents attending the meetings will have opportunities to participate and we will hand out a short survey to determine where local citizens shop for goods and services and why.”
The event will be held for both Coffeeville and Water Valley.  Coffeeville’s forum will be held on Monday, October 13th at 6 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose building.  Water Valley’s forum will be held on Tuesday, October 14th at the Water Valley courthouse.
Come join us for an evening of education and improvement of our communities.  Everyone is invited!
