Sunday, December 21
  The First Presbyterian Church Choir will present its annual Christmas Cantata during the 10:55 a.m. morning worship service Sunday, December 21.
“Go, Tell It,” the story of Christmas, the old, old story, is presented as more than outdoor lights and decorations. Christmas is a unique and personal experience and is shared with you in this musical.
Soloists are Sarah Spraberry, Barron Caulfield, and Clyde Herron. Harold Spraberry is the narrator.
  The Coffeeville United Methodist Church children and youth are sponsoring their first annual Live Nativity Walk-Thru on Sunday, December 21, and Monday, December 22, from 5:30-7 p.m.  at the church. Everyone is invited to join the Methodist congregation for a special Christmas experience! The Live Nativity Walk-Thru will feature scenes from the birth of Jesus Christ, and a live children’s nativity, as well as ministry through snacks and hospitality. “Please bring your family, friends and neighbors for a night that is sure to remind us all of the reason for the season!” invites Rev. Stacy Douglas, pastor.
    The community is invited to celebrate Christmas with First Christian Church of Water Valley.  This Sunday evening, December 21 at 6:30 the adult choir will present the beautiful Christmas cantata, “Mary, Did You Know?”  Featuring traditional and contemporary Christmas music the cantata will draw us near to the One whose birth we celebrate this Christmas.  The choir is under the direction of Marilyn Blankenship.  Lou Ann Holt is the accompanist and Jerry Holt is the narrator.  A finger food fellowship will follow the cantata.

    First Assembly of God will present a Christmas Musical, “Jesus Light of the World” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, December 21. The church is located at 305 North Court Street.
    “Come help us celebrate the birth of Jesus who came as The Light of the World,” invites pastor Keith Burney and the congregation of First Assembly of God.
    The church family at Spring Hill North Baptist Church  will have their special Christmas morning worship service, beginning at 11 a.m. on the third Sunday, December 21.          
    “Everyone is invited to attend,”  invites Pastor Sammy Townes. The church is located at 600 Railroad Avenue, Water Valley.
    On December 21 the Mount Moriah District Association will host a Christmas concert at 6 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church.   The LAST Rehearsal is on Saturday, December 20, 2014 and is open to any youth and young adult member aged 5-35 years old.  Please contact Sis. This concert will feature songs and an opening act with children from churches throughout the district and Coffeeville community.  Please come and share with us as we celebrate Jesus and His birth.
Wednesday, December 24
    First Presbyterian Church invites everyone to their Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, the 24th. This will be a service of Christmas hymn singing, special music, scripture, and candlelight.
    Rev. Harold Spraberry invites the public to join as they celebrate the birth of Jesus. It is our hope in this season and in the coming year that you and your family experience the joy that only comes from knowing the Babe of Bethlehem.
    First Christian Church of Water Valley will host a Candlelight Christmas Eve service on December 24 at 6:30 p.m..  This beautiful service will feature scripture readings, congregational singing, special music, and a message by Minister, David Freeman.  The family is invited to attend this brief but beautiful service that will set the right tone for your Christmas celebration.

Sunday, January 18
    Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tillatoba will have their Pastor Installation Service for pastor Louis J. Cotton Sunday, January 18, at 3 p.m. Pastor Lacy Harrell, Sr. will be the guest speaker.
