Friday, Feb. 27

            Steve Waldrip’s “In God We Trust” kick-off tour will be held at Adonai Church, located on Highway 315, west of Water Valley Feb. 27, beginning at 7 p.m.


February 23-27

            Smith Chapel M.B. Church of Coffeeville will have five nights of healing and deliverance services, beginning Monday, Feb. 23, and continuing through Friday, Feb. 27. The services will begin at 7 p.m. each night. Prophetess/Evangelist  Fhonda Jones of Conyers, Ga., and a member of the Kingdom Family United Ministries, will be the speaker for the week.

Saturday, Feb. 28

            The church family of Rocky Mt. M.B. Church will celebrate their annual Black History Program Saturday evening, February 28, beginning at 4 p.m. Missionary Dorothy McGhee of Durant will be the guest speaker. Pastor George Forrest invites everyone to attend this service. Refreshments will be served.


            The church family Sanders Chapel Church will have their Black History Program Saturday, Feb. 28,  beginning at 6 p.m. There will be singing, praise dancing, short skits, poems, and much more.

Sunday, March 1

            The Pastor’s Aid Ministry, along with the entire Pleasant Grove Church family, invite you to the celebration of their pastor’s  anniversary on Sunday, March 1, beginning at 2:30 p.m.

            Rev. Amos Sims, pastor of Bayson Chapel and moderator of the Mt. Moriah District Association will deliver the word, accompanied by his choir and congregation. Lunch will be served from 1 p.m. until the celebration begins. 

            “Come praise the Lord with us as we honor Pastor Larry Hervey for five years of ministry and service at Pleasant Grove,” stated Caren Covington, president, and Marjorie Moore, vice-president.


            Rehearsals for the community Easter program will begin at 4 p.m.  March 1 in the Bethlehem M.B. Church. For further information, call Charity Ware at (662) 709-7175.


March 1-3

            New Providence M.B., Church will have a spring revival Sunday, March 1, beginning at 6 p.m, and Monday, March 2  and Tuesday, March 3, beginning at 7 p.m. Rev. Dr. James Johnson of Union Hill C.M.E. Church of Water Valley will be the guest evangelist for the services.

March 1, 8, 15 and 29

            Adonai Church, located on Highway 315, west of Water Valley, will celebrate its anniversary every weekend in March with a different musical talent. Guests will be March 1, Philadelphia; March 8, Saving Grace; March 15, Barnett Family;  March 22, Bobby Bowen Family, and on March 29, there will be a gospel celebration.

Sunday, March 8

            The Bayson Chapel Church family would like to invite the public to celebrate their pastor’s and wife’s, Rev. and Mrs. Amos Sims, 26th anniversary, Sunday, March 8. Worship service begins with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., followed by the program at 11 a.m. The Mt. Moriah District Association Missionary, Rev. Vada Hankins, will bring the message.
