Saturday, April 18

            There will be a gospel singing at Mt. Olivet Church Saturday, April 18, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Family Life Building. The church is located on Highway 315, north of Water Valley. The Trailsmen Quartet will be the guests singers. A potluck will follow the singing and everyone is invited to attend.


Sunday, April 19

            Goshen Memorial Chapel will host the annual spring homecoming Sunday, April 19. Services will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a pot luck at noon.

            Goshen welcomes back the Cannan Landers and Fishers of Men for an afternoon of praise and gospel singing. The church family states that they welcome everyone to come worship and fellowship in the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ during this special service.

            Goshen is located six miles west of Coffeeville on CR 226.


            The handbell choir of First Christian Church will present their first concert at the church on Sunday, April 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Choir members are Starr Guest, Lou Ann Holt, Deniece Fowler, Lexi Fowler, Kevin Herrera, Hannah Hig-don, Margaret Higdon, Marilyn Blankenship, Terri Rounsaville, Malinda Walker, Carol Brown, Lorraine Stark, Genna Berry and Tonia Bailey. The choir is under the direction of Gail Herrera.


            The church family at Zion Grove M.B. Church in Coffeeville will celebrate their pastor, Otha Coffey’s, and First Lady, Sharon Coffey’s, second anniversary Sunday, April 19. Sunday School will start at 10 a.m., followed by regular worship service at 11 a.m., and the anniversary program will start at 2:30 p.m.  All invited to attend.

            Dinner will be served following morning worship service. The morning sermon will be delivered by Pastor Columbus Bell from Philadelphia M.B. Church in Oakland. The afternoon sermon will be delivered by Pastor Fred Butts from Nelson Chapel M.B. Church, Pope.


            The Spring Hill North Church family will celebrate their pastor’s, Rev. Sammy Townes, and his wife’s,  anniversary April 19, beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Mitchell Steen of Sanders Chapel Church, Water Valley, will be the guest speaker.                           “Everyone is invited to attend,” stated Sis. Valencia Hubbard and Sis. Dorothy Cody, co-chairpersons of this event.


            Pleasant Grove Church will have their spring revival Sunday, April 19 through Wednesday, April 22, with  the service beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Pastor Sammy Townes, pastor of Spring Hill North M.B. Church in Water Valley and Travelers Rest in Greenwood, will deliver the word each night. 


April 20 – 22

            Chapel Hill M.B. Church, located at 1140 CR 118, Water Valley, will have spring revival services, Monday-Wednesday (April 20-22), beginning at 7 p.m. each night. Rev. Jacob Hentz will be the guest speaker each night.

Saturday, April 25

            The Trailsmen Quartet will  sing at Camp Ground Baptist Church April 25, beginning at 6 p.m. A love offering will be taken during the singing and refreshments will be served after the singing. Bro. Jerry King and all of the Camp Ground Baptist Church family would like to welcome everyone to come and worship with them. For more information, or directions, contact Bro. Sunday, April 26

            The Hopewell M.B. Church family will have their annual Musician Appreciation Program Sunday, April 26, beginning at  2:30 p.m.  Organizers are looking forward to worshiping with you and we are asking you to come and help us celebrate with an A and B selection from your choir, praise team, or both.


            The Deacon Ministry of Pleasant Grove is pleased to invite everyone to their annual deacons’  fellowship Sunday, April 26, at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Preston Gleeton, pastor of the Pleasant Green Missionary Bap-tist Church, will deliver the word.

            All deacons are encouraged to attend, but all our brothers and sisters and especially those who are seeking Christ and a better way of life are welcome to attend. A fellowship luncheon will be served prior to the worship service.


Sunday, May 3

            New Life Fellowship at Oakland would like for everyone to join them and meet their new pastor, Larry Wicker, and his family Sunday afternoon, May 3, at 4 p.m.

            “We will have regular service and refreshments to follow,” stated the church family.
