Thursday, May 7

            The Yalobusha Baptist Association (YBA)  invites you to attend the National Day of Prayer Observance on May 7, beginning at 7 p.m. at Camp Ground Baptist Church. Dr. Brent Barker, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada, will be the guest speaker. Prayers will be lifted up in praise for America. “

            Everyone is invited to attend,” states Bro. Truman Scarborough, AMD for YBA.

 

Friday, May 8

            An exciting night of worship, with youth emphasis, is scheduled Friday night, May 8, beginning at 7 p.m. at Springdale Family Worship Center. Guest speaker will be Micah Wood from Ramp in Hamilton, Alabama. Guest music will be by Faith Fellowship Church and Lisa Kendall.

May 13-15

            Pleasant Hill M.B. Church, located on County Road 154 in Tillatoba, will have revival services  May 13 through May 15. Rev. Carl Ray, pastor of Mount Olive, will speak on Wednesday.  Rev. Cleveland Alexander, pastor of Pine Grove West will speak on Thursday, and Pleasant Hill’s very own pastor, Rev. Louis J. Cotton, will speak Friday.

 

Saturday, May 16  

            Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, located in Calhoun County, will host The Masters Quartet with Donald Talent, May 16, beginning at 6 p.m. Pastor Justin Gates invites everyone to attend. The church is located four miles west of Bruce on County Road 231, across the railroad on the left.

 

Sunday, May 17

            The Zion Grove M.B. Church Family in Coffeeville will celebrate their annual Memorial Day program Sunday, May 17. The morning sermon will be delivered by Pastor Otha Coffey. The Memorial Program will start at 2:30 p.m. and the sermon will be delivered by Pastor Gregory Wilson, Mount Grove M.B. Church, Coffeeville.  Dinner will be served following morning worship service.

            Moderator Amos Sims invites everyone to attend the Mt. Moriah Usher Federation meetings on Sunday, May 17, beginning at 3 p.m. in the Mt. Moriah Building at Coffeeville.

            The church family at Chapel Hill M.B.Church will have their annual homecoming service Sunday, May 17, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker for the evening will be Rev. Darryl Booker of St. John M.B. Church in Charleston. He will be accompanied by his church family.

            The annual Mission and Women’s Day Program will be held at Spring Hill M.B. Church South on May 17, beginning at 2:30 p.m.

            “We are looking forward to seeing you. Come and let’s praise God and give Him thanks for all our blessings,” stated Pastor W. M. Jones and the Spring Hill Church Family. The guest speaker will be Missionary Viola Cook Harris.

 

Saturday, May 23

            There will be a gospel singing May 23 in Clear Springs Baptist Church beginning at 7 p.m. The special guest group this month will be The Masters Quartet from Tupelo. Saturday, May 23

            Sylva Rena Baptist Church will have their annual homecoming services Sunday, May 31. The regular Sunday morning worship service will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at the noon hour. Beginning at 1:30 p.m. the musical program will feature the Dixie Echoes.
