Living Well In Yalobusha County

Our crochet group will meet on Thursday, May 7 at 10 a.m. This is a laid back group that enjoys sharing patterns and helping each other learn to do new projects.

The Create (a.m.) MHV Club will meet on Tuesday, May 12 at 9 a.m.  The project leader will be Jane Franklin and the project will be a Terracotta Flower Pot Wind Chime. Yearly dues are $6.  For a complete supply list please contact the Extension Service.

The Create (p.m.) MHV Club will meet on Thursday, May 14 at 6 p.m. The project leader will be Robbin Harrington and the project will be DIY Wind Chimes (using old household items).  Yearly dues are $6. For a complete supply list please contact the Extension Service.

Our Healthy You exercise classes are free and meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Make sure that you wear cool, comfortable clothes, good walking shoes and bring some water to drink.  The nurse will be here to check glucose and blood pressure on Wednesday, May 13, at 8:45 a.m. 

There will be a Strawberry Jam Canning Workshop on Wednesday, May 13 at 1 p.m.  Participants will be canning strawberry jam and will take home a jar of strawberry jam made during workshop.  The class is free and is limited to five participants. Please call the Extension Office at 675-2730 to register. 

The Yalobusha County Cattlemen’s Association will meet Thursday, May 7.   The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Building in Coffeeville. The program topic is: “Anaplasmosis”.  The speaker is Dr. Carla Huston from MSU Vet School. A meal will be served.  Non-members pay $5 per plate.  Please call the Extension Office by Wednesday, May 6th, at 675-2730, to let us know you will be attending.
