Fall Activities Continue At Extension Service

The Evening Create MHV Club will meet on Thursday, October 13, at the Extension Office. Robbin Harrington will be the leader.  Our craft will be a fall or Halloween wreath.  Supplies needed include a grapevine wreath and any fall decorations (fall leaves, pumpkins, sunflowers, wooden letters, ribbon, wire or hot glue gun).

Sewing for Service will meet on Monday, October 17, at 10 a.m. at the Extension Office located in the Multi-Purpose Building in Coffeeville. We will continue making the Christmas bags for Blair Batson Children’s Hospital. All machines and supplies are provided, we just need you to help us sew!

Members of the United Yalobusha County Mississippi Homemakers Volunteer Club (MHV) will meet on Tuesday, October 17th at 10 a.m. at the Extension Office. During this meeting 2017 dues will be collected, officers will be elected, 2017 programs will be planned and Holiday House arrangements will be discussed. All members are encouraged to attend.

The Crochet MHV Club will meet Thursday, October 20, at 10 a.m. at the Extension Office. They will be collecting items for Save A Life during this meeting.  Also, please bring any items that you would like to enter in the Holiday House Cultural Arts Contest.

The 4-H Family & Consumer Science (FCS) Club will meet on Thursday, October 20, at 3:45 p.m. in the Extension Office in the Multi-Purpose Building.

Healthy You exercise classes are free and continue to meet every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 until 9:45 a.m. Make sure that you wear cool, comfortable clothes, good walking shoes and bring some water to drink.

Seasonal Eating with MyPlate

MyPlate is the USDA’s guide to healthful and balanced eating at each meal. You can follow it by dividing your plate among fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean and varied protein and low-fat dairy.
