Saturday, Nov. 5

Hopewell Baptist Church, located on CR 95, Water Valley, will have the Trailsmen and Freddie and Friends playing and singing gospel music Saturday. The program starts at 6 p.m. and there will be a pot luck-finger food fellowship afterwards.

Sunday, Nov. 6

All Saints’ Day will be observed on Sunday, Nov. 6, during the 11 a.m. service at First United Methodist Church.  

“On this day, we remember and honor all those precious saints who have gone before us, especially those who joined the roll of the church triumphant during this past year,” said Rev. Allen McGraw, pastor.

Church members who have died since last year’s All Saints’ Day are Jimmy Maynor, Cecil Ford, Marjorie Dickey, Daniel McDonald, and James Larson.  Family members will participate by lighting candles in memory of their loved ones.

Sanders Chapel will be celebrating their Pastor and Wife’s Love Day Nov. 6, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Michael C. Hickmon and Abundant Harvest Church family from Charleston will be special guests. At the 8:35 service, Minister Steve Allen will be speaking. Lunch will be served.

Everyone is invited to the annual church anniversary program at Zion Grove M.B. Church on Nov. 6. Services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., followed by worship service at 11 a.m. The morning message will be delivered by pastor Otha Coffey. The church anniversary program will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the message will be delivered by Pastor Louis Wilson, Sr. from Springhill Asa Church in Batesville.

Zion Grove M.B. Church is located at 2441 County Road 471,  near Coffeeville.

Chapel Hill M. B. Church will celebrate their pastor’s seventh year on Appreciation Sunday, Nov. 6. Rev. C. Jerome Battle is pastor of the church. Rev. Jeffery Fields from New Haven M.B. Church in Camden, Arkansas. will be the guest speaker for the morning service, beginning at 11:15 a.m. The speaker for the evening service will be Rev. Rodney Phillips from Pleasant Hill M.B. Church in Chidester, Ark. He will be accompanied by his church family and choir. This service will begin at 3 p.m. Lunch will be served.

Sylva Rena Baptist Church will host the Landmark Quartet Sunday, Nov. 6, beginning at 7 p.m. A love offering will be received, with all donations above expenses going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Saturday, Nov. 12

Members of Smith Chapel Church cordially invites everyone to come and help them celebrate with Mrs. Brenita Smith Moore (Fee-Fee) as she delivers her first sermon on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 3  p.m. “If she has been a blessing or a help to you down through the years, come  out and show your love on this joyful occasion,” invites Pastor Richard Smith.

Zion Spring M.B. Church in Bruce will have a Praise, Prayer, Healing, and Deliverance Program on November 12, at 9 a.m. The Theme is P.U.S.H.. (Pray until something happens). Guest speaker will be Evangelist/Prophetess Fhonda Jones of Water Valley. Other invited guest include Prophetess Jeanette Walker of Euphoria, Evangelist Fannie Brown of Oxford, and others. Prayers will go up for our nation, for healing and deliverance.

Sunday, Nov. 13

Union Hill Church will have their Harvest Program Nov. 13, beginning at 2 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Russell Brooks of Green Goshen C.M.E. Church. He will be accompanied by his church family. 

Sunday, Nov. 20

New Life Fellowship Baptist Church at Oakland will have a very special guest speaker, Mr. Brennan Allen on Sunday evening, Nov. 20, at 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
