Friday, Dec. 2

Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, located at 470 Pilgrims Rest Road, Batesville, will have an arts and crafts show, with gifts to buy and concessions. Admission is free. Come by Friday, December 2, 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, December 3, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Lades Ministry.


Saturday, Dec. 3

A benefit program for Mack Suggs, Sr., Sherry Suggs-Smith, and Minister Rogene Moore will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 6 p.m. in Massey Grove  Missionary Baptist Church at Oakland. 

“Everyone is invited to attend,” says Pastor Lloyd V. Anderson.

The church family at Zion Spring M.B. Church will have their senior citizen Christmas luncheon Saturday, December 3, at noon. The theme of the program is “Love” and the colors are gold, red, and black. 

“Come and enjoy good food, games, and entertainment. Your presence will be greatly appreciated,” stated Pastor Tommie Daniel and the Zion Spring Church family. The luncheon is sponsored by the Missionary Society. Zion Spring is located at Hwy. 330 and CR 251, Bruce.



Tuesday, Dec. 6

A support group for mothers who have lost a child is scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in the hospitality room at the First Assembly of God Church in Water Valley. Darlene Burney, wife of pastor Keith Burney, is starting the support group.

   “If you have lost a child, please come and join this group,” Burney invites. “There is one thing for sure, NO ONE will ever be able to understand what you are going through, but the people in this group will,” Burney added.
