Saturday, Dec. 10

James Cooke will deliver his first sermon Saturday, Decem-ber 10, in Smith Chapel Church, located at 3695 CR 211, Coffeeville. 

“Everyone is invited to come out and support this man of God during his first time in the pulpit,” stated Rev. Richard Smith, pastor.


Sunday, Dec. 11

The choir at First Presbyterian Church will present the Christmas Cantata, “Behold Emmanuel”  during the regular morning worship service December 11, beginning a 10:55. Everyone is welcome to attend.


Tuesday, Dec. 20

The hand bell choir, Bells of Joy, from First Christian Church, cordially invites you to their Christmas Concert at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, in First Christian Church, Water Valley. A medley of beautiful Christmas carols will be presented by their Two Octave and Five Octave Choirs. The choir is under the direction of Gail Herrera and choir members are Starr Guest, Lou Ann Holt, Deniece Fowler, Lexi Fowler, Kevin Herrera, Hannah Higdon, Margaret Higdon, Teri Rounsaville, Alycia (A.J.) Hughes, Carol Brown, Cheryl Hughes, Lorraine Stark, Genna Berry, and Tonia Bailey.


Saturday, Dec. 31

A watch night service is scheduled Saturday, December 31, from 8 p.m. until midnight, at Clear Springs Baptist Church. The special guest groups for this service  will be The Canaanlanders from Oxford and David McMillen from New Albany, as well as others. Come help us sing the old year out and the new year in. The church is located at the corner of Gums Crossing Road and County Road 186,  just outside Coffeeville.
