Blue Devils Come Up Short, Lady Devils Struggle Continues

The Water Valley Blue Devils (2-6) hosted the North Panola Cougars on December 16 for their second division contest on the season. The Blue Devils found themselves in an early deficient, trailing 48-31 at the half. They were able to outscore the Cougars in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as they were defeated 75-62. The loss dropped the Blue Devils to (2-5)(0-2) on the season. 

The Blue Devils returned to action on Dec. 20, hosting the Lewisburg Patriots. They were very competitive against the talented 4A opponent, however the Blue Devils would come up just short falling to the Patriots by a final score of 77-67. The loss dropped the Blue Devils to (2-6) (0-2) on the season. 


LADY DEVILS

The Lady Devils returned to action on Dec. 20, also hosting the Lewisburg Patriots. Looking to get their second win of the season, they were overmatched by the 4A Lewisburg Patriots. The Lady Devils were defeated by a final score of 46-16. The loss dropped the Lady Devils to (1-5)(0-1) on the season. 

Both teams will be back in action on Jan. 6 when they go on the road to take on the North Panola Lady Cougars.
