Saturday, January 14

Everyone is invited to come out and celebrate Gifted Men and  Women of God’s first year anniversary at Zion Spring M.B.Church, Hwy. 330 CR 251, Bruce, on January 14. Food, including hamburgers, fish, chips, and drinks, will be sold.


Sunday, January 15

Sylva Rena Baptist Church will host The Miracles from Baddour Center this Sunday, January 15 at 11 a.m. The choir is made up of 25 men and women who live at the Baddour Center, a community for adults with intellectual disabilities, located in Senatobia. The choir travels 15,000 miles and performs 80 concerts annually. 

Their mission is to praise God through music, bridge attitude barriers that may exist towards persons with intellectual disabilities, and share the mission of the Baddour Center. Everyone is invited to attend and a love offering will be received. A potluck fellowship meal will follow the morning service. For more information, contact the church office at 473-4447.

The Mount Moriah District  Association has scheduled the quarterly Usher Federation meeting on Sunday, January 15, at 3 p.m. at the district building. 

President Reginald Baskin is asking all district ushers to attend as well as members. The fundamentals of ushering will be taught.

Rev Riley Suggs invites everyone to the Jones Chapel deaconess program on Sunday January 15, at 2 p.m. Rev Tommie Goodman will be the guest speaker. Rev Goodman serves as pastor of Bridges Chapel in  Pittsboro and and Jackson Chapel M B Church in Grenada. Deaconess Melzina Townes is the program chairman.

Sunday, January 22

Smith Chapel M.B. Church will have their Pastor and Wife’s 16th Year Appreciation Sunday, January 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Richard Smith is pastor of the church. Pastor Mitchell Steen of Sanders Chapel M.B. Church, Water Valley, will be the guest speaker for this occasion. 

“Everyone is invited to come out for this special event and we look forward to seeing you there,” stated the Smith Chapel Church family.
