The Blue Devils traveled to Marks on January 24 to take on the M.S Palmer Dragons for a division matchup. Looking to end their losing streak and earn their first division win on the season, they came up short against the Dragons, 81-64.

Following the loss to M.S Palmer, the Blue Devils traveled up the road to Independence on January 27 to take on the Independence Wildcats in another division matchup. The teams had already faced off earlier in the season, with the Wildcats pulling out a nail biting 55-51 victory over the Blue Devils.

The second matchup looked very similar to the previous encounter in the first half, as the Wildcats went to the half with a 32-27 lead over Water Valley. However, the Wildcats would pull away in the second half, en route to a 71-55 victory over the Blue Devils. The losses dropped Water Valley to (4-14)(0-7) on the season.

Lady Devils

The Lady Devils hosted the Independence Lady Wildcats on January 20th for a division contest. Looking for their second win on the season, and first in division play, the Lady Devils were outmatched, falling by a final score of 61-22.

Next the Lady Devils traveled to Sardis on January 30th to face the North Panola Lady Cougars in another division contest. The Lady Devils struggled to compete with the talented Lady Cougars,  falling by a final score of 42-11. With the pair of losses, the Lady Devils dropped to (1-10)(0-5) on the season.

The Blue Devils and Lady Devils will be back in action on February 3 as they travel to Charleston for a division matchup with the Tigers.
