There will be a gospel singing on February 25 at Clear Springs Baptist Church, beginning at 7 p.m. The guest group this month will be The Pounders Family. The church is located at the corner of Gums Crossing Road and County Road 186, just outside of Coffeeville. A love offering will be taken and refreshments will be served. Sunday, Feb. 26
Tim Frith and The Gospel Echoes will be in service at the First Assembly of God of Water Valley on Sunday night, February 26, at 5pm. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a wonderful time of anointed singing, fellowship, and sharing in the word of God. Come and receive from the Lord. A love offering will be taken.
Union Hill Church will have their Black History Program Sunday, February 26, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Rev. T.K. Townsend will be the speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” stated Pastor James Johnson, and Betty Rucker, program sponsor.
Everdale Missionary Baptist Church will have their annual Black History Program Sunday, February 26, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Jerome Battle, pastor of Chapel Hill Church in Water Valley and Mt. Olive Church in Batesville, will be the speaker of the hour.
The Bayson Chapel M. B. Church family will host their annual Black History program, on February 26, at 11 a.m. Pastor Amos Sims will deliver the message, the theme is titled as “Yes We Can.”
Everyone is invited to join this time of celebrating Black History Month.
March 1 – 3
Spring revival services are scheduled at Spring Hill North Baptist Church March 1-3, beginning at 7:15 nightly. The guest speaker will be Rev. Calvin Hawkins, pastor of United Baptist Church in Coffeeville.
“Everyone is invited to attend these services,“ stated Pastor Sammy Townes. The church is located at 600 Railroad Ave. in Water Valley.
Saturday, March 4
The church family at Mt. Liberty Church will serve plate lunches on March 4, starting at noon and continuing all day (until the last person is served). Plates for this fundraiser are $10 each and must be ordered in advance. Boston butts will also be sold. There will also be a live auction. Hopewell Baptist Church invites everyone to come out Saturday, March 4, at 6 p.m. for great gospel signing. Performing will be the Ellis Family and Shirley Berry for half-time. The church is located on County Road 95.
Sunday, March 12
The Green Goshen C.M.E. Church family will host their annual Family and Friends Day Program March 12, beginning at 3 p.m. The speaker for the occasion will be Rev. Michael Phillips of Oak Grove C.M.E. Church of Water Valley. Lunch will be served. The members of Green Goshen are asking everyone who can to come out and join them for this program.
