March 10 and 11

The Spring Hill North Church family will sell fish or chitterling plates Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and help with this cause. Proceeds are going toward the Pastor and Wife anniversary. To place an order call 473-2771 or 714-0189.

Thursday, March 9

The first of five Lenten Luncheons begins Thursday at noon, March 9 at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.  Rev. Raymond Aven, pastor of New Hope Church of God in Batesville, will be the speaker following a light lunch provided by a team headed by W.G and Cissy Griffin.

“Lent is a 40-day (minus Sundays) period of the Christian liturgical calendar that precedes  Holy Week.  During this time Christians focus on simple living, prayer, and fasting in order to grow closer to God and to more fully prepare to experience the joy of Easter,” said Allen McGraw, pastor. “We invite all in the community to join us during this spiritual season.”

The schedule for the series includes March 16 – Rev. Annette Ford, retired United Methodist minister and luncheon chairman, Jean Bynum; March 23 – Rev, Keith Keeton, pastor of Senatobia United Methodist Church and former youth pastor of Water Valley FUMC, and luncheon chairman, Vicki Bell; March 30 – Rev. Stacy Douglas, pastor of Coffeeville United Methodist Church and luncheon chairmen, Jerry and Margaret Daum, and:  April 6 – Bobby Jones, Associate Pastor of Jumper’s Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and luncheon chairman, Renee Person.

Sunday, March 12

The Green Goshen C.M.E. Church family will host their annual Family and Friends Day Program March 12, beginning at 3 p.m. The speaker for the occasion will be Rev. Michael Phillips of Oak Grove C.M.E. Church. Lunch will be served. 


The Bayson Chapel M.B. Church family cordially invites everyone to to their Pastor and Wife’s 28th annual Love Day celebration which will be included with our morning worship service beginning at 11 a.m. on March 12. Rev. Jacob Hentz will be the guest speaker.

March 12 -14

Everdale Missionary Baptist Church will host their spring revival beginning Sunday, March 12, at 7 p.m. and continuing thru Tuesday, March 14. Pastor Clarence Buchanan of New Birth MBC will be guest speaker. Phillip Brackett is pastor of Everdale.

March 13 -15

Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tillatoba will have spring revival services Monday, March 13 through Wednesday, March 15, beginning at 7 p.m. each night. The guest speaker will be Pastor Lacey Herrell from Mount Camel M.B. Church in Clarksdale. 

Wed., March 15

All interested  persons, retired persons and seniors at home are invited to gather at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Wednesday, March 15, beginning at 10 a.m. for fun, fellowship, spiritual food, and food to eat. 

Sunday, March 19

The public is invited to Zion Grove M.B. Church located at 2441 CR 471, Coffeeville, for the Annual Family and Friends Day Program Sunday, March 19, at 2:30 p.m. Services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., followed by worship service at 11 a.m. The morning message will be delivered by pastor Otha Coffey. The Family and Friends Program will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the message will be delivered by Pastor Calvin Hawkins, United M.B. Church, Coffeeville. Dinner will be served following morning worship.
