Thursday, March 16

The second of five Lenten Luncheons continues Thursday at noon, March 16 at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Rev. Annette Ford, retired United Methodist minister will be the speaker following a light lunch provided by a team headed by Jean Bynum. 

The series continues March 23 with Rev, Keith Keeton, pastor of Senatobia United Methodist Church and former youth pastor of Water Valley FUMC, and luncheon chairman, Vicki Bell; March 30 – Rev. Stacy Douglas, pastor of Coffeeville United Methodist Church and luncheon chairmen, Jerry and Margaret Daum, and:  April 6 – Bobby Jones, Associate Pastor of Jumper’s Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and luncheon chairman, Renee Person.


Sunday, March 19

The public is invited to Zion Grove M.B. Church located at 2441 CR 471, Coffeeville, for the Annual Family and Friends Day Program Sunday, March 19, at 2:30 p.m. Services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., followed by worship service at 11 a.m. The morning message will be delivered by pastor Otha Coffey. The Family and Friends Program will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the message will be delivered by Pastor Calvin Hawkins, United M.B. Church, Coffeeville. Dinner will be served following morning worship.


Sunday, March 19

Oak Grove C.M.E. Church family will have their Family and Friends Day Program Sunday, March 26, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The speaker for the occasion will be Minister Luke Teague of Faith Tabernacle in Batesville. He will be accompanied by his church family. Oak Grove is located at 2445 CR 121. 

“Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” stated . Rev. Michael Phillips, pastor.


March 20 – 22

Youth revival services will be held at Bayson Chapel Church March 20-22, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Speakers will be: Monday, Pastor Jerome Battle; Tuesday, pastor Jerome Battle; and  Wednesday, Minister T.K. Townsend. Special music will be provided nightly so come and receive a blessing from God. 

“Come out and hear these men of God as they proclaim His word,” invites Rev. Amos Sims, pastor of Bayson Chapel and the church family. The church is located at 1272 CR 431, Water Valley.

Saturday, March 25

There will be a gospel singing at Clear Springs Baptist Church on March 25. The guest this month will be Malcolm Lindsey. The church is located at the corner of Gums Crossing Road and CR 186, just outside Coffeeville. A love offering will be taken and a meal will be served. Everyone is invited to come out  and worship. Sunday, March 27

The Spring Hill North Baptist Church family will celebrate their annual church anniversary with a program Sunday, March 26, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Richard Hairston, pastor of New Salem Baptist Church, Oxford. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” states Rev. Sammy Townes, pastor, and Bro. Cornelious Hairston, chairperson. The church is located at 600 Railroad Ave., Water Valley.


Saturday, April 1

Hope Church of God’s youth group will have a bake sale April 1, in front of Larson’s Piggly Wiggly in Water  Valley, to help raise funds to go to Kentucky to see Noah’s Ark. Hope Church of God is located in Oakland.
