Lady Devils Drop Division Opener

WATER VALLEY – The Lady Devils (2-5) (0-1) hosted the Vardaman Lady Rams for a non-division matchup on March 20th. 

The girls garnered their biggest offensive output of the season, scoring 10 runs that were all needed to defeat the Lady Rams in an offensive shootout.

Water Valley came away with the 10-8 victory over Vardaman, the big inning for the Lady Devils came in the 4th innings when they plated five runs. The win improved the Lady Devils to (2-4) on the season. 

Following the win, the Lady Devils hosted the Independence Lady Wildcats for their first division matchup of the season. Looking to start division play with a win, the Lady Devils were unable to get the offense going and were shutout 4-0 by the Lady Wildcats. 

The Lady Devils will be back in action on March 31st as they host the Lafayette Commodores.
