Church Calendar of Events

April 12-14

Holy Week revival services will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Coffee-ville from Wednesday, April 12, to Friday, April 14, at 7 p.m. each night. Pastor Reginald Reed of Antioch Baptist Church in Pope will be the evangelist. 

“Make plans to attend and be revived,” stated Pastor Larry W. Ware.

Sunday, April 16

Camp Ground Baptist Church will have Easter Service on April 16, beginning at 9 a.m. Breakfast will be served immediately following the service. There will be no Sunday School or evening services on this date.


The church family at United M.B. Church will host Easter Sunrise Service on  Sunday, April 16, beginning at 6 a.m. Breakfast will be served following the service. 


First Assembly of God Church of Water Valley will have a special service Sunday, April 16, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The choir will perform the Easter Musical, “Mighty to Save.” Following this presentation, Pastor Keith Burney will bring the Easter message. After the morning service, those attending will share lunch. To wrap up the day of rejoicing, after  lunch, there will be an Easter egg hunt for the kids.  “Come out and join us in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome,” stated Bro.  Burney.


Woodland Hills Baptist Church will gather in the fellowship hall for breakfast at 9 a.m. Easter Sunday morning. At 10:30 a.m. the morning service will begin in the sanctuary, with Pastor Lynn Jones, brining the message. This will be the only service of the day. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy breakfast and Easter message.


Chapel Hill M.B. Church will celebrate Easter with a sunrise service April 16, beginning at 6 a.m. Pastor C. Jerome Battle will deliver the message. Breakfast will be served. 

“Everyone is invited to come out and worship with us at the special service,” states Pastor Battle. The church is located at 1140 CR 118, Water Valley.

April 17-19

The Chapel Hill M.B. Church family will have  spring revival services April 17-19, Monday through Wednesday, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Sidney Townes will be the guest speaker. The St. Andrews M.B. Church family will also be special guests. 

“We look forward to your fellowship and solicit your prayers on his wonderful occasion,” stated Pastor C. Jerome Battle. The church is located at 1140 CR 118, Water Valley.

April 18-20

The Pine Grove East M.B. Church family will host their spring revival April 18- 20. beginning nightly at 7 p.m. The evangelist will be Pastor Kenneth Bonner of Free Spirit M.B. Church of Milwaukee, Wis., and a Malaco recording artist. “Everyone  is welcome to share in this great gospel experience,” stated Pastor Lenair Person. 

Sunday, April 23

Green Goshen C.M.E. Church will host a musical concert April 23, beginning at 3 p.m. This musical celebration will feature Dr. Charmus and the Poplar Springs Male Chorus, along with many area performers. 


Pastor Phillip Brackett and members of Everdale M.B. Church invite everyone to be their guest on April 23 when Rev. Albert Booker, pastor of New Kind Providence Church, will bring the word. His church family will accompany him and the choir from New Kind Providence Church will sing. 

“We know if there has ever been a time for our missionaries to be on God’s mission it is right now, so we are looking forward to worshiping and praising God with all mission minded men and women on this day,” stated Rev. Brackett.

Saturday, April 21

The youth at Camp Ground Baptist Church will have a spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser Friday, April 21, from 4-7 p.m. The dinner will be $7 a plate and will include spaghetti, cole slaw, and a dessert. It will be held in the fellowship hall and will be dine in or take out. 

Sunday, April 22

A gospel singing is scheduled at Clear Springs Baptist Church on April 22, beginning at 7 p.m. The guest group will be the Coleman Family. The church is located at the corner of Gum’s Crossing Road and County Road 186, just outside Coffeeville. A love offering will be taken and a meal will be served. Sunday, May 7

The church family at Everdale Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their church anniversary on Sunday, May 7, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Larry Hervey of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Coffeeville and Hurley Chapel in Grenada. Lunch will be served. “Everyone is invited to come out and join us for this event, as we  God,” stated Pastor Phillip Brackett
